$700 budget? O/r midpipe and roush axleback or the pypes catback. Headers would be out of your budget.

The absolute loudest? Straight pipes with longtube headers and o/r midpipe. That's silly loud and you'll get a migraine from the drone.

Sub in Roush or the Borla ATAKS for straight pipes and you still have a very loud setup.

Drone comes from your muffler choice, or lack thereof.

If you want loud and poppy you want an off road x. Offroad H would be slightly less loud but a deeper tone. Less raspy.

I would really like to hear that set up. I have yet to hear a 3.7 sound anything close to a GT, i've heard good 3.7s, but from all the ones i've heard the louder you go the raspier and more annoying it is. It just doesn't have the depth to go super loud.

bbk long tubes off road x pipe and roush axle backs are the loudest i've heard i ran this set up for a while, believe it are not i think the roush ab's are louder then the pypes, the pype bombs are basically just a big *** resonator

I have a neighborhood "kid" who has a loud exhaust on his Mustang....I'd stop and ask him what his setup is, except for the fact I'd most likely bop him over the head with a 2x4 if he did stop, as he enjoys hammering down the neighborhood at all hours of the night to show it off.

I have to agree with the sentiments here. Op, uncatted long tubes with straight thru mufflers sound like crap on the 3.7.........like a high revving john deere. Also, from a power perspective I think it takes you in the wrong direction, as you get a respectable gain up top, but typically will lose torque down low, something the 3.7 doesn't need. Shorties with cats and a baffled muffler will net some respectable gains down low with a negligible bump up top.

for $700 you can get used pype bombs and still have enough $ left over for something else when you get tired of loudest.

Lol, but seriously...

" PUNCTUATION*refers to the “symbols” we use to help people read/process*sentences the way we want them to be heard and understood.* I always think of this as similar to musical notation.* A musical score has all kinds of symbols that specify things like volume, speed, key, “crispness” (for lack of a better word), slurred passages, etc."

And...

" GRAMMAR*refers to the way words are put together to make units of meaning.* Below are some grammar-related terms.* I’ll run through them*in a way that builds cumulatively."

Source: http://katherinewikoff.com/2012/10/1...and-mechanics/

Writing giant sets of words really takes away from the points made in there. Taking the moment to add inflection really makes a difference in presenting, especially in a means of communication based solely on text.

I gave up on trying to correct Grammar and Punctuation since I do not think either are taught in school anymore.
To this day I really am wondering where you put BREAK PADS. Even my spell checker is telling me it is not correct.
To the OP, do what you want but the 3.7 is a motor that the louder it gets the crappier the sound is.

My car is certified at 82 DB (I believe SCCA uses the A scale) at 50 feet, full throttle, and just shy of 8,000 rpm. Sounds great at 2000 rpm, terrible from 2300-4000, then I was told by a GTR owner that I ran into while racing in another region, that our V6's sound very similar once I passed beyond 5000 rpm . Stock over axle tubes and axle backs, catless x pipe, manual transmission. I am going to be checking to see if I can do turn downs for axle backs and still be below the 100 DB limit to race, those mufflers are quite heavy...

Longtube Headers. O/R Midpipe and Bassani Axleback. Loud when you're on the peddle and nice when you're just cruising.

Is a new exhaust setup going to void out a warranty, though? I have a 2012 and am paying extra on my payments for a 100,000 mile warranty on the engine and drive train, and don't want to void mine out. I'd love a new exhaust, though.

if you put on axle backs (or cat backs) any dealer that voids wtty for anything other than your exhaust should be avoided. I do recommend talking with your dealer to develop a relationship and to see how they deal with minor mods...some are friendlier than others.

The loudest axle back exhaust set I have heard in person is the Mac Axle Back for our cars. It is definitely within the price rage at $400 new from American Muscle.

Volume level is louder than even the pype bombs. The difference is it less raspy and much deeper. I have a set I purchased from a member here that I throw on for the weekends however for daily highway travel unless you like the sound of a muscle car INSIDE your car at all rpm's and no longer wish to listen to the radio you will end up wanting something else.
