Engine roar

Is there any way I can get my engine to sound loud without having to get a cold air Intake or throttle body?

By loud are you referring to exhaust? Because to make sound from your engine bay that's going to be something entirely different. And the sound coming from a new intake and throttle body is all of the air coming in the engine not the engine its self

I promise you, what you need to do is find a 5.0 and stop trying to make yours look and sound like one. You won't regret it.
Also.... Please don't put a 5.0 engine cover on your 3.7 engine. Unless you just want to fool 16 year old girls.
There is nothing wrong with 3.7 stangs! There are some really well modded beautiful ones. But boogering one up won't satisfy what you're looking for.

The 5.0 engine cover wouldn't fit unless you duct taped it to our IM. Someone's probably done it though...

1. add the sound tube from a V8
2. remove the under hood insulation (maybe)
3. stomp on the go pedal

Exactly what Strange Mud said. Otherwise, a Tune and Cold Air Intake would be the other legit route and will net you some performance gains.

Remove the intake air box and tube. And put pantyhose on the throttle body with a rubber band to hold it.

If you remove the over axle pipe and secure them to the side of the exhaust area the car sounds sooo good but I would only do it as a short term fix and definitely look to upgrade exhaust parts

No one is trying to make it look like a 5.0. People like you are the ones who should save their opinion simply for the fact you are assuming on what I'm trying to do to my car. Have a good day bro

Yes. Or you can create your own contraption. I believe it's a tube that runs from the airbox to a hole in the firewall. Definitely something worth googling into.

I added a gt sound tube to mine and I like it a lot. I personally think it sounds great when I'm accelerating hard, and i like the fact that it quiets down when cruising at lower rpms.

It's kinda like Jekyll and Hyde. Nice and quiet until I get into it and then it roars to life.

I got mine here in the classifieds. Mine didn't come with any of the mounting hardware but I was able to make it work. Definitely make sure you verify that you are getting the mounting hardware.

You do have to do some minor modifications to your intake but it was pretty easy. There is a video on you tube that goes through the installation and also shows you the difference in sound before and after.

There is nothing wrong with 3.7 stangs! There are some really well modded beautiful ones. But boogering one up won't satisfy what you're looking for.
When did he ever say he wanted it to sound or look like a 5.0, and do you honestly think a 5.0 engine cover would even come close to fitting on a 3.7? Have you ever seen the intake manifold on a 3.7?

Woah. I did not know the gt's had a sound tube. that awesome. I actually utilized the hole on my firewall as a place to run wires for a switch that controls the dimming feature on my Vleds triton v3 switchback signals But on another note:

Does anyone know if a sound tube can be added to an airaid v6 intake? or possible modded to work with it? It's a mod I'd love to do when I get my airaid cai in the spring.

BMW does not use a sound tube, but rather a sound file that plays through the radio speakers when the right pedal is pressed.

And you can increase the "sound" in your engine bay by removing the stock air tube that connects from the air filter box to the throttle body, and cut off the sound deadner/muffler. Get a fiberglass kit to cover the open hole, sand it, paint it, and you will then have the sound that the aftermarket CAI's produce, and would not need thye sound tube to pipe the sound into the cabin.

why no intake? for the drivers ears it makes the biggest improvement, exhaust is for bystanders. Used they are a deal and any dealer that gives you wtty grief ain't worth going to.
