Oracle LED marker lights

In case you can't tell, I like messing with my lights. I considered the tint for my marker lamps, and replacing the bulbs with LEDs, but the look just isn't right to me. I found some replacements, made by Oracle, but all I can find are stock photos. They look really cool and are available in a variety of options (clear, smoke, tint, and ghost). The tint makes the lense the same color as factory but leaves a strip for the light to shine thru, and the ghost is completely painted but the light still shines thru. I am not a fan it matching factory paint, and the tint doesn't look dark enough to satisfy me, so I was thinking of going with the ghost in black. However that makes the set of four about $400. Now I'm considering the clear or tinted and using plasti-dip (black and glossifier) to tint them myself. That brings the price down to around $200 for the set.

Does anyone have any personal experience with these?

I have seen them on a 2011 camaro one time, really nice looking at night they really set the car apart from others on the road. Id imagine they look just as nice on our mustangs. Looked into them a few times as well but couldnt bring myself to spend the 200+

Roman took the words from my mouth. They looked great on the one camaro I've seen them on and would like to get them at some point, but I have other things I'd rather spend the money on at the moment.

Well I found some on eBay for $186 BIN but also had "make an offer" so we'll see what happens with my offer, lol. That was for plain clear ones. I will use Plasti Dip to tint them. If I don't like it, peel it off and have a shop spray tint them.

Best of luck with it. And if you get them I'd definitely like to see some pictures.

I can't help but think you could grab some clear markers and do this for a fraction of their price....

I couldn't, but my dad may be able to. And what does a set of markers run, $60? I found the LEDs for $.50/ea. Figure I need 100 of them and another $50. Add in my time and at a couple hours it isn't worth it to me as there are other things I could be doing.

Well I found a seller on eBay who carries the full line from them. I'm currently watching a set of unpainted, smoke, and black "ghost" so we will see what happens with my offer. I have a feeling it's going to expire because it's the weekend and it only has a two day limit. I may still get them though since I picked up my plastidip black and glossifier today.

I looked. If you can open the marker up, sure. Its a lot of work. So if you can find markers that are not glued closed its possible - if you do find them let us know!

Another thought, the lense on these is not diffused in any way, it's clear. Normal corners and clear corners that I've found have plastic that would not transmit a straight line thru them without spreading the light around. Part of the allure is the straight line appearance that the line would give, matching the tails and whiskers in the headlights.

Submitted another offer at a slightly higher price. No idea why they list a price and "best offer" if they won't bother responding to it. There are a few reputable vendors who carry them so I may go hunting for a discount code and see if I can buy one for a similar price from an online store vs eBay, where I would get a little protection should something happen.

Got a counter offer today from the eBay seller. Accepted and definitely got the lowest price on the Internet. Should be here in a few days since they're just in the next state over. Then all I need is a nice "not cold and rainy" day to add the Plasti Dip.

So first impressions, well packaged and build quality looks awesome. I don't care for the fact that the company has the part number visible on each light. Going to add two light coats of black Plasti Dip, then a few of the glossifier and see how they look.

Yeah that's odd they chose to print the part number right there. Plus maybe I'm being nitpicky but those LED strings aren't very straight. Lol

They aren't, but the bend is equal on each side. I wonder if it follows the curve of the car when it's on.

The curve theory sounds reasonable. I'll let you know in a few weeks when they are on my car

Heres a few pictures of my Oracle lights. I got them less around a month after they were released. I love the way they look, however I did have an issue with 2 of them leaking in a rainstorm the day after I installed them. I uninstalled them, dried them in the oven, and put a bead of silicone around the lens, and they've been perfect for the last 5 months. I have regular 20% window tint on them right now, but have some of AM's blackout tint to install when the weather warms up.

Excellent photos! I'm anxious to see them on my car! I'm having mine "tinted" so they'll be dark, yet still transparent but my body shop.

Oracle LED marker lights

Well, rear ones are in. Plasti Dip dries quick! Two light coats of black and a light coat of the Glossifier and they had the look I want. I'll take a pic at work later to show how they look, on and off.

It was a joke from my last thread about my rear emblem.

Yes, my interior some lights are that bright. I need tint...

The double line is from the lense on my phone case, I think.
