Best bet is to hear them live. I find it just right specially from the cabin.

Get a straight pipe if you want loud! I have a back-axle straight pipe with restips 2.5" piping. Sounds good! The res tips really do make a difference. Makes a deeper tone then just pipes, also looks good! I can take pics if you want.

you can go on youtube. Borla has an awesome video explaining the differences in their exhaust setups for the 11-14 v6 models. Very great video.

I am stock except for the S type and I think it is perfect.

I road in one same as mine except that it had shorties and it was even better than perfect.

I also heard "loud" which for me the ATAK's were loud.

If you want loud and deep, you won't get that with borla s-type AND xpipe. You'll get loud and raspy poppy as fk.

I'm in Houston and I have the magnaflow comps if you want to hear them. I personally love them and they are less pricey.

I see it as this. Borla has 3 stages of mufflers.

Touring = if you just want a low hum, similar to the stock mufflers but with slightly more tone.

S-Type = if you want that deep tone that is moderately loud on the throttle without being too loud/raspy.

Atak = From what I have heard, there is only minor difference between having these and not having mufflers at all. These are the loudest ones. Will definitely gain you the most attention on the road. Both good and bad (police). So buy this one at your own risk.

I personally went with the S-Types. I just wanted the low rumble. I live in a City where people are getting pulled over ALL the time so Ataks were definitely out of the question.

I love my S-Types. Loud when I want them to be, quiet when I'm cruising (at least to me in the cabin). Had a truck with straight pipes that droned horribly. Cool at first but really gets old.

If you want to have a deep tone I would go with the h pipe instead of an xpipe. My xpipe has a lot of rasp which can be really annoying at times.

I have the s types with long tube borla headers a custom h pipe and now I've added 24" resonators to quiet down the exhaust and kill the drone... Now I could hardly be happier with my exhaust. loud enough when you are getting on it but definitely acceptable for highways and cruises.

I don't know how you're going to be able to wait that long.

Once you see these you're going to want to put them on on the spot. And once you've get them on you're not going to want to stop driving.
