Courtesy lights stuck on

I noticed today driving home from a friends house that my two dome/courtesy lights where on and very hot suggesting they had been on for awhile. checked both doors and they were closed tightly. after getting home I open and shut both doors and they would not turn off. normally this would be due to a bad door jamb switch but I looked all around both doors and could not find any??? any suggestions? I pulled the fuse to turn them off for the time being. hope its something simple that I'm overlooking. thanks

To the left of your steering wheel, check this switch. If it's all the way up, that's why your lights are on. Roll it down and you'll feel a sort of click. It's your dash light adjustment switch but rotating it all the way up also turns on your dome lights

Maybe one of the door switches needs replacing, or a good cleaning.
Or you need a new timer.

Try WhoDat's suggestion. This is something that gets bumped sometimes and causes it. Let us know if that does not work.

Don't worry, you are not the first I have told or seen told about the Dimmer, most cars do not even have that anymore.

Took the time to find and pull the right fuse. Didn't know about dimmer.
This should be a meme
