No, the placement and angle of the throttle body on the cyclone and coyote are different. A lot of modification would be needed, and even then, it still might not work

Yes look at the other thread. A TB from a 5.0 fits just fine after a little massaging. I have done it.

How did it work out for you? What did you notice different in driveability and performance?

What did you have to do to get it to fit properly?

I have had the 5.0 on my cyclone for several months. There has been little effect on mileage. The drive-ability seems better. The throttle response is better. No down sides so far. I have not dynoed the car since the change.

The hole pattern is wider on the 5.0 TB. All the holes have to be elongated toward the middle of the TB. The butterfly opens the opposite direction from the original which turns out not to be an issue but is necessary to understand when modifying the upper intake. The "quiet fingers" located directly behind the TB inside the upper intake must be removed to allow for full operation of the butterfly. This is done with a pair of needle nose pliers.

How about sound wise. Is there a change in engine sound? A growl or something

The sound is bigger. I added headers at the same time so it is hard for me to say.

I did it because it makes sense. BBK sells a 73mm TB for $400 and claim it works wonders. This mod cost me $56 and I have an 80mm TB. I am currently porting and matching my lower intake which is reported to add 20 rwhp. This TB addition can only help. I checked with my tuner before I did it. He was able to show how the TB mod was within the range of the tune to adjust. So your engine will adjust by itself to the change.
