Tune or gears

Really not into racing....1/4 mile. I DO have the automatic w/2.73's....thinking tuner first. Really into cruising anyhow, I do like to step on it light to light sometimes, the most I would go up is 3.31's. It's NOT a daily driver. Got a beater with a heater. I'm hearing enough on tunes to go MPT. I think ....but, feedback....?? All that being said my brother in law has a 77 vette w/300hp built motor...still I think I should be able to take him!!!

Go with a tune. Increased throttle response, better shift points and can always update. Just plug and install. A much easier install than gears. You can always update tune if you make any changes down the road too.

Do both if possible. I have 3.31s and a Bama tune, very happy with it. Great improvement over stock gears and stock shift times etc.

Thanks guys......like I said I think the tune is the right decision. Then I can decide if I want to do the gears! Does the tune override the 115mph limitor from the factory?

Same for the X4, you can turn off the max limit set by Ford.

Hey Sticks - I'll cut right to the chase and I would say shoot right for a 3.73 and X4 Tuner kit and nail two birds with one stone. If you're going to do one I would highly reccomend doing the other as you're going to need to have a revision set up for the speedometer correction. 3.73's are absolutely more than enough to give you and the car a night and day difference and your V6 would literally feel like a different car. I can't comment on the Vette but I think that you're definitely going to give him a run for his money ...on a close track of course

Let me know if you have any questions and if you don't have our discount code shoot me a PM and I'll get you set up!

If you're to have an aftermarket driveshaft the Bama Team will disable it but they will not disable it for obvious reasons if it's stock. I would definitely proceed with caution if you're going to be running above 100mph guys!!!
