Raxiom Halo headlight/fog light Intensity

I keep seeing cars like Camero and high end cars that have halo effects around the headlight and fog light areas. They are bright enough to see in daylight.

I have Raxiom halos on my fog lights. During daylight hours they are barely noticeable (chrome not smoked). I had planned on getting the halo headlight lenses from Raxiom. But, the three side LEDs seem lame. Just my opinion but the three just look incomplete or like an afterthought. But what is the show stopper for me is that they too are not bright during daylight.

So, I assume this is because they are CCFL. Is what I want LED like what Oracle offers? I know they have DIY kits. My goal is to have daytime and nighttime visibility.

If LED is what makes the brightness difference, what are my DIY options besides Oracle? Is the life of one longer than the other? I wish Raxiom halo products would have daytime brightness.

Thoughts?
-Sg

If you want halos, youll have to retrofit them
The retrofit halos are high quality, can be seen day or night and are BRIGHT
i just installed some color changing halos
The after maket headlights with halos built in are no good infortunately

Theretrofitsource.com sells them
But be warned, it is extremely difficult to retrofit headlights
And expensive.
If yoy just want the halos im pretty sure you can buy just the halos from the retrofit source and attach them directly to your halogen reflector dish bowl

It really isn't difficult... It takes time, yes. Takes some basic electrical knowledge and some special knowledge, but nothing you can't look up.

Still really expensive just to make it where you can see it during the day time tho. I mean they look sweet but dropping that much on it for that would kill me haha

Your cheapest option would probably just be to by the halos and install them yourself. Here's a couple pictures of mine during the day time. My headlights are tinted and you can see them clearly all the time.

Yes!!! That's what I want! I have the Raxiom fog halos and love their look at night. Just wish they were as bright during the day. Otherwise I'd buy the Raxiom headlight halo lens.

Did you get them at Theretrofitsource.com?

I have a '13 so mine came with projectors. They're just stuck on the little area surrounding the projector.

These are my Raxiom fogs which I love because the bead is thick. But they aren't visible on NC sunny days. This picture was taken on a cloudy day. They look good, but only on cloudy days or at night. Click image for larger version

They're SMD LED halos. I got them done at a local shop, but I'm not sure what brand they technically are. They are essentially the same as Oracle though.

I bought the color changing oracle halo kit but ended up going with a custom made headlight, so if anyone wants a color changing halo set up I get rid of it for $250 the non color changing halos for the stock headlights are $189 or so. I paid over $300 I think it was $160 more for the every color in the rainbow add on. They look sick but I wanted a completely custom set up with sequential blinker in the front as well as every other option available. Let me know if anyone has any interest in the oracle halo color changing kit I have.

Yes I did. The most intimidating part of the whole project is putting your light in the oven. .. other then that take your time and they will come out just fine.

I purchased raxiom halos's all I can say is they are garbage! Stock can't be compared to aftermarket Chinese Taiwan made lights. They aren't bright at all! Don't get me wrong they look really good.
