Pro charger supercharger Vs. Limitless fabrication and performance Turbo

I'm sure there are many different opinions about this. What I want to know is why are there so many people selling there pro chargers with such low usage? Are the pro chargers to much trouble, having to change the oil every other oil change just be a pain? I know the turbo offers more overall ability to make power but I also like the fact that you make quite a hit more to to. For whoever has one or the other please post your average mpgs if you have to take a long trip. Thanks anything else you want to include be my guest

comparing apples to oranges really, it's just gonna depend on the person.

the few turbo kits out there have a lot of potential to make more power then a supercharger set up ever will. there are only 2 cars that i know of other then Clamphier who have had the lpf kit thats alefire who gernaded his motor thanks to Henson and This guy named Chris Gibson with a bad *** white 3.7..

There is also 2 more cars running the Bomber single turbo kit, which is a pretty damn nice setup too and those guys are making close to 500rwhp

you also have Chris (landtosea) who just finished his custom turbo setup making 400+ and he's still working all the bugs out.

i can tell you the driveability with the procharger is outstanding and if you couldnt hear it whining under the hood you would never know it's there.. the maintenance on the procharger isnt bad at all, oil change every 6k belt change every 15k... the only drawback i've had is belt slip when the blower gets hot. mpg's are good when you keep your foot out of it, i think i'm getting close to 23-24 mpg's with my 4:10 gears.

there seem to be a **** load of FI 3.7's running around now, more then a dozen procharged guys and half a dozen turbo guys and a few nitrous ones too

the known failures of guys with turbo kits

solobusa
alefire
jimc
jmpjack
kerrdog

have all suffered hurt motors from running some type of turbo setup.. not saying that was the issue.. a lot has to do with tuning..

know failures of procharged guys

superchargedsix
westcoastsc

are the only guys i know of on forums who suffered hurt motors with the procharger setup...

NOT THAT THE FAILURES MEAN ANYTHING I'M JUST POINTING OUT THE FACT THAT THERE HAVE BEEN MORE WITH TURBO'S

but tbh i think you would be happy with either route you choose, if you want the most potential to make power go turbo..

if you wanna keep your exhaust and stay carb complient (one of the reasons i went procharged) get the supercharger.

both setups are bad *** imo and you have potential to make some good power with either one.

oh yeah, and a lot of the guys who are selling there prochargers, seem to be moving on to different cars, a lot of guys upgrading to 5.0's and what not. the only people i know of who switched over from procharger to turbo was clamphier and solobusa.. and i'm the only guy to go from nitrous, to owing hellion (never installing it) and going procharged lol

There are quite a few turbo cars. In the Cyclone Facebook group alone I know of 5. Connor and another guy are now swapping to twins. There's another guy on here Jcald I believe who already has twins.

Then there's 3 guys running a Teufelhund custom turbo set up. No big issues Ive heard of on turbos in general other than Hassan, but he's about to drop the turbo kit back in.

There's oodles of procharger guys.

I am about to purchase a used procharger tuner kit and had a few queries if anyone can help :

1. What is the safe and standard boost psi that procharger sets the kit at when buying the full one ? safe for stock internals...

2. The kit also has a 3.70 pulley...what benefits would I have from that one ?

3. Seller is running 85lbs injectors, which sound like overkill to me and my tuner said it could be a hassle to tune. He recommends going with 60lbs.

ThougHts ? Thanks

I heard I guy talking about his pro charged car he was making over 500hp on gt 500 fuel injector they were like 48# but yea those or 60# I believe are plenty you want to get injectors that are mapped though that will help with the tuning. Good luck

my kit has a 4.00 pulley and makes 6psi so i would guess you would make somewher around 8-10psi

Is 8-10 safe for stock internals ? Procharger say they run their stock kit for this motor at 8...
