Gibson exhaust installed

So finally I pulled the trigger on the Gibson axle backs. Having only heard one clip via YouTube I wasn't sure but for the price getting a stainless axle back with no packing in the mufflers I supposed I could do worse. I am really impressed with the sound and install. It really sounds deep and menacing! The sound actually gets better the higher you rev it unlike others that get tinney. My only issue is that the passenger side tail pipe sticks out a bit further than the other. Not sure how to fix that... but otherwise the only other thing I might do is install some dynamat in the trunk area to keep the inside noise down just a bit. It's starting to drive me nuts when I accelerate and my door rattles lol. I'm trying to get some audio but for now here's some photos.

Gibson # 619012 = stainless For 2014 Mustang V6.
#319012= aluminized

Please let us know any further impressions of drone.

At the moment Amazon has 319012 aluminized for $187.05. Great price, but aluminized only lasted about 2.5 yrs on my 4.0 Ranger - innards rusted

So I see the exhaust is only for 2013-14 mustangs. Shouldn't they work for all 2011-14 v6 mustangs or did something change in 13?

Seems like most exhaust systems work for all years.

You are right. Even though they might be the same and fit, manufacturers may only warranty the item for 13/14.

Not much drone that I can tell though haven't really had a chance to just cruise at 60-70 for an extended period yet. Yeah I was surprised that there wasn't more on the Gibson when I researched it - I guess Roush and Borla etc do a pretty good job of blanketing the market. Absolutely I wouldn't go with anything but stainless specifically with an exhaust system. Those wonderful catalytic converters do a good job of cleaning the air but it does so by converting some of that junk into good ol h2o... I've got a recording but it's off my crappy phone I'll see if I can clean it up a bit. Yes love the FP6 so few of them around!

Ok, I know the aluminized are not ideal. But they are 140 on Amazon right now. If it lasts two years at that price who cares?

I haven't heard them but I'm guessing these are a little more mellow then the Roush's or Borla's.

I wouldn't say mellow but nowhere near as rough as the Roush but louder and deeper than the Borla. Still trying to figure out how to post a video though...

Wow, $146 and free shipping on Amazon. Wish I had heard about these before I put my Borlas on.

When you say nowhere near as rough do you mean not as mean sounding?

On Amazon it says it doesn't fit my mustang? Is that just a mistake on their part?

You can check other sights (AM, Autoanything, Summit) for part #s. Amazon's "fit" description isn't always correct.
Believe Gibson Axle Back for 2013-2014 Mustang 3.7 V6 -- Stainless = 619012, Aluminized = 319012. As said above, would certainly think will fit 2011-2014.

I thought those were them! Looks like it's going to be like the borla axle backs, price jump as soon as there is interest. Damn supply and demand

By the videos on YouTube (2 of them) it sounds a little higher pitched than the roush. Is that right or is it just me?
