I've got SR springs and Koni STR.T shocks and struts on my 08 and yeah it's definitely a harsher ride but nothing bad at all. And the stance it perfect to me, still has a slight muscle car rake but no excessive wheel gap

Hey efran,

Great question!

You will have absolutely no issues running the SR Springs on an otherwise stock setup especially if you will be slowly building your suspension.

I have done it in the past personally and have seen it done personally with no issues. You have nothing to worry about!

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Hey 08,

I'm glad to hear that you're liking the setup!

The ride quality change is most likely attributed more towards to shocks and shocks rather than the springs but you do need it stiffer to carve some corners!

If your going for ride quality find something progressive, it doesn't bother me, but it's definitely jumpy

Also make sure you snag an adjustable panhard bar from the good fellows at AM, and if you want everything to be right get some lca's and an adjustable UCA, with the relocation brackets

Looking good Matt! Did you do Struts and Shocks too? The Panhard Bar is definitely a must if you're going to be doing the work. The great thing about the PB is that it's going to work hand in hand with your springs. Lowering the car not only gets rid of the lifted F150 look and improves your handling but also helps your acceleration and even braking.

I do want to throw out there again (And I think Will mentioned it) is that Just like Eibach, H&R, etc. The SR Performance Springs are progressive and they're definitely that much more comfortable in comparison to a standard spring and they're going to essentially tighten and get stiffer as you're running the car through its paces.

Progressive springs are going to operate in a much different manner than that of a standard spring. The rise in spring is not linear, allowing for a softer spring rate in the early stages of travel but a much stiffer rate as it's compressed further. While the first inch might say have something like 50lbs, the second inch of travel will step up to something like 200lbs and then continue beyond that point. They're defintiely that much softer on the street and this is coming from someone that has run everything from cut springs to coil overs.

Let Will know if you have any questions!!!

Alex
