reset the average, it factors in a zero when sitting still so it will always be getting worse. That being said, your big *** wheels probably aren't helping, and they're also an inch shorter than stock. This means not only are your rims heavier, but they've raised your effective gear to something really more than a 3.31. Not sure if its enough to impact your mileage as much as you say, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a difference.

What MPG numbers do you get if you hand calculate? I've found the computer is off by a couple MPGs.

I usually get around 20-23 mpg for mixed driving. Best I ever got was 26 cruising on the highway. I have the 3.31 rear end.

With 3.55s I get 20-22 which is mostly 6 mile commutes to work in cityish driving. I'm only down a marginal 2 tenths since ditching the 2.73. I get lower mpg with my MPT tune but a lot more smiles. I got better mpg with my steeda tune, but not as much go.

Then a lot of the forum members must be granny's because quite a few have documented meeting or exceeding those numbers.
I don't happen to be one of them at about 22 mpg.

Is this before or after you installed the straight pipes. I put the magna flow muffler deletes on and my car lost torque and my mpg fell. Just a thought. All stock with 2.73 Attachment 175847

Most of my driving is in town. With a good tank gas gas and driving mellow, it's about 18. For the most part I avaerage 16.5-17. I have 2.73's with a manual. I just ordered some 3.73's so I'm sure it will go down a bit.

Too much gas!

With these cars there is a huge range depending on how you drive and type of driving. I've averaged anywhere from 18 to 38. 18 was me enjoying the car the 38 was 100% highway going around 60-65 on cruise control. But I generally see 24-26 city and 29-33 highway.

These numbers are hand calculated as well so I know it's correct as the computer can be off sometimes. Certain things like excessive idling, etc can cause it to be inaccurate.

You should ask this guys opinion. He's an exhaust expert. I think he may agree that the straight pipes had something to do with it. And don't forget to mention the home made CAI.

You're MPGs will go down a bit but the smiles per gallon will go up quite a bit!

Get the driveshaft because sometimes your gears will not whine with the stock driveshaft which I was a victim too until the aluminum driveshaft I installed. I posted about it on here a couple weeks ago but my issue is resolved now!

I have 3.31s, 19" 255 wheels, and a 93 race tune. I get about 18-20 avg mpgs highway and city. This is even after swapping out the boat anchor stock mufflers and aluminum driveshaft.

I floor my 2012 every chance I get and my dash says I'm getting 22mpg. I also let the car run a ton due to my remote start and the cold weather.

I reset my mpg meter every oil change. I've never seen below a 27mpg average. I do a lot of highway but I'm not shy with the gas either.

When I was stock with performance pack, 3.31 gears, AirRaid and Tune. I averaged 27 mpg mixed every day for a year driving 2 hrs round trip to work with 70% highway and 30% city.

With 3.73's, fully bolted on and tuned I average 25 mpg hwy at 75 mph and right at 20 mpg mixed hwy/city. I don't know how you all are averaging below 20 mpg stock. I can get as high as 27 mpg on the hwy if I drive 65-70 mph.
