Installing 3.73 gears

Anyone know the average price on installation at a shop?

From what I've saw people talk about on this forum, it varies a lot. Your best bet is to go get a quote from different shops but ale sure its done by someone that knows what they're doing. I think I've heard people say being quoted around 350-800 dollars.

Where I live in Socal I got a quote for 450.00. As a matter of fact my gears will be delivered today. I probably wont get them installed until maybe early spring, I want to get a drive shaft as well.

I Would agree with tek, prices can vary on location, labor charges ect. One shop in my city quoted 350 for complete install, another shop a city way quoted 500. I would get a list of local reputable shops, and call for price quotes. Cheaper isn't always better also.

Most important thing....find a reputable shop!! This isnt a project for Billy Bob's Auto Repair & Bait and Tackle. Take it to some one who knows what they doing. Dont cheap out on this, it will cost you way more in the long run.

North Texas, for my '11 & '13 I paid $400 and they furnished the Royal Purple fluids. I'm about to pay $300 for my '02 but I furnish the fluids.

Lol I wouldn't mind doing it on my own and save some money. But I'm not mechanically fit for a job like that 😅

In my life I've worked on all kinds of stuff from cars to motorcycles. I've done oil changes and rebuilt a couple of motors, but I wouldn't even try to do a gear swap. It's way to precise and if you get it wrong it goes bad, quickly.

Yea I won't touch gears! I was watching videos on YouTube on how to install them and it's way too complicated with someone with no mechanical skills

It will hopefully be in a couple of weeks. I need to get a tuner or something to fix my speedo first.
