Cigarette plug wont charge phone??

Ive tried both cigarette plugs in my 2012 mustang, with different adapters and different charging cords. When i plug the adapters in they will light up, but they dont charge the phone. Tried checking if maybe the fuse was blown but there is no labeled fuse for the cigarette plug.
Anyone else have this problem?

normally this issue is the adapter doesn't have a high enough output.

Figured it wasn't worth making a new thread, what fuse goes to the cigarette lighter in the dashboard? It doesn't charge anything, so I figure it's the fuse.

Yes, the USB and light work in the center console, just not on the dash. Do they share the same fuse?

Cigarette plug wont charge phone??

I use a 2.1 adapter for my Samsung Galaxy 3. 1.0 works but charges very slowly.
The accessory ports aren't for cigarette lighters btw.
OP does the light come on on the adapter?
And what kind of phone do you have?

Oops I see now the adapters light up. I had this problem and it was a simple setting adjustment in the phone. Had to be set for charging not just data.

It could be a bad ground or wire. My Dodge Dakota had this problem for years. Both power points would show that there was power, but would not charge. Several good mechanics could not figure it out. I finally ran a fused wire to the battery, and a ground wire to the chassis.
