Might be easier to just mask very well and plasti dip it while on the car.

Taking it off would be the right move, you dont want to risk getting anything on your paint
And as far as reinstall, i would definitely do bolts AND adhesive, otherwise you might get the annoying rattle that you hear a lot on cars with spoilers
Post some pics of how it turns out!

Dip it and see if you like the look? If you like the look, paint it and have it done right. Peel it off no matter what. Plasti dip is so RICE. Do It Right, Do It Once. No Regrets Later! Just my 2c.

I think it depends on what you are dipping honestly, for a small spoiler such as what he is doing I think painting it would not be worth it, it would be way more expensive than plasti-dip, it will look better but it the results he gets from plasti-dip are good enough for him, there would be no need to paint it IMO

Plasti dip always looks cheap. If you're going to do it, so it right. Wrapping is a also a good idea.
