I would imagine anything over 500 woupd be pretty stressful on the stock motor..

Same here with out changing the stock internals. When I build v8s I always change internals for anything above 450. So every build there changed out. If I'm planning on hitting 700hp I get internals that hold to 900 or higher. Better be safe than sorry. It's always worked for me so I see the few extra bucks worth it

That's very impressive for a motor designed to crank out 305.

Was he dyno proven or did he just say it was 500?

Well he purchased a used kit so it was missing parts and only came with that pulley. Plus he needed to get it tuned and never had a tune for it also in the beginning. Also not sure if the base tune he got was for the elevated boost levels.

A lot of variables here.

Yep He sat at 550 for a few months with his Lpf kit and then built and turned it up. His YouTube channel is "killer6" he is also on some 1320 videos. Namely "weird sounding y cyllinder throws down"

Sorry I've been to busy modding to update the thread. Will have a fully detailed and very long post with pictures Monday or Tuesday. Completely overhauled and changed the entire car. Supercharger is on and running super strong

I notice a lot of supercharged cars don't get too concerned with the so-called CAI sucking in all that hot air.
Is that due to the fact that you rely on the intercooler to drop the intake air temp?

No at the forced induction point more air is better. Doesn't matter if it is a little hotter than normal intake temp

Well, I for one was very worried lol. The procharger intake arm and filter has it pointed down right next to my header.... Yeah, no thanks.
I bought a much larger 9" filter and took off some of the intake arm and added a piece or too so it's out straight and angled back a bit, much farther away from the engine and the hot header. Intake temp will be much cooler thanks to the intercooler as well, so I think I have the best of both worlds with my air filter intake set up.
Look how high my filter is on the picture I posted and how large it is, then look at the stock photo of one

Yessir, dual ram air intakes to the same duct that's directly above my CAI. Twin heat extractor vents up top too

Just bought an RTR tactical adjustable pan hard bar from AM. New product figured I would give them a try again after the LED light debacle hahaha.

The hood looks great.
Should look fantastic with the new bumper & saleen grill.
Hope you're planning to move that front plate off the bumper.
