wire covering

Bought some wire covering to change over to a different color...regardless I took some entirely off and replaced and some were just taped to death and attached to different parts of the engine, yet my wiring pc's were big enough to go right over the orginals, would that move create a problem as to heat coming off the engine having some wires double covered?...just wondering if the heat would effect the wiring by being doubled covered....any thoughts?

Since the heat comes from outside (the engine) and not inside the wire, insulating the wire will not cause it to get hotter. In fact the wire will be cooler for a while at least.
