TB and Al Driveshaft questions

Hi Everyone,
I've been idle for months now as far as any new upgrades on my car. With the current setup I posted 288 rwhp and 280 torque (flowmaster axleback, jlt cai, shorty headers, and a 91 tune). I'm thinking of purchasing the following: BBK throttle body, AL driveshaft, and removing speed limiter.
I know the driveshaft is not for perfomance gains, more so of having confidence while driving fast. For those who have upgraded, is the vibration completely removed or is it still there?
After reading reviews of throttle body HP gains, it doesn't seem to do anything unless paired with other perfomance mods. Have any of you noticed the posted 10-15hp in gains with the noted performance mods?

Thanks

Personally, I think TB's are a waste of money. When I had my 97 GT I put on a real nice Accufab, it really did nothing but look nice. It was over 400.00 too, Id probably never buy another one again.

Well dyno with a base run and then another after is pretty hard to show the gain is pretty hard to argue with. But 400.00 for that?? A tune would make much more sense. But eventually it may be a mod to complete the car.

For me the tune was first. The throttle body came after. I see it as just a piece to the puzzle. For someone who wants ALL of the bolt-on mods. I noticed slightly better throttle response. But as far as power, i cannot say since I already tuned. May be looking at getting my car dyno'd later this summer after headers and gear change.

As far as the DS goes I don't think this is a bad thing in any way. You may not need it but just the piece of mind makes it worth it. Ill be doing this for sure at some point.

With the 3.73 now....it really makes sense for the DS. All the RPM's are higher and your really getting some torque on the low end. The gear is a ball!! You guys are going to live it!

So no go w the throttle body? I was hopeful w headers cai and tune id see gain in hp

With headers cai and tune you will see a nice increase in throttle response. You can get one new from auto anything for about 320 new with their 20% off discount. I liked mine. You will see gains in combo with ported intake manis and a retune it.

3.73 gears are too short for me, keeping my 3.31s or switching to 3.55s down the road....
If you're keeping it NA grab 3.73s or 4.10s for an auto, 3.55 or 3.73 at the MOST for a manual. Do not get 4.10s in a manual.
Like I said, for me 3.73 in my opinion will be too much for me and will render first completely useless and make it not so enjoyable ....

With the automatic as I have, the 3.73 is probably a little more tolerable. My first instinct was to go 3.55. AM steered me to the 3.73's. It's not a DD, in town it's awesome....highway a little much. 3.55 or 3.31's would probably be a nice in between. But let me tell you....I ain't no slouch NOW!
