Brake ducts

So I know on the v6 premium the small plastic cutouts on the bottom at either side have fog lights in them, but has anyone tried to cut it out and make them into functional brake ducts? I'm considering doing it but I was wondering if someone already had and what they did to get the air from point a to point b. I do auto cross this vehicle which is why I want to try, and I have just the basic v6 so there's no lights there just to make it easier.

I was think maybe getting the fog lights covers without the lights themselves and use those for air to come in

Good idea! I was just going to cut out all the sections with the golf ball divits and have a funnel of some or sort going to it

Are the foglights positioned like the picture i have below? That's where the Ford Racing kit has them for my 5.0, and honestly its not a good location. Its too far outboard and not in a high enough pressure zone to really get any air through there, especially at autocross speeds. Honestly, at autocross speeds you shouldn't need ducts at all, but i ended up using these for the road course, and they were exponentially better:

I actually have these and a set of Ford Racing baking plates for sale if you really are set on having some though. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss if you'd like.

Wonder if you used the Roush fog light kit instead of the small premium kit if the air flow would be better? Never thought about it being in a low pressure zone and not providing enough flow.

On the earlier (2011 to 2012 Boss 302's), you could buy a kit that turned the fog light deletes into front brake ducts. Supprised the aftermarket has not put out somthing for the later years.
