Next mod on it's way

I just ordered some hood struts from American Muscle. I can't believe a car that window stickered for 30 grand came with a hood prop.

Ah what do you guys think about the ones that say "Mustang" on them? Too cheesy?

I've been contemplating getting them for a while now.

I like them. I was just too cheap and bought the plain ones.

I don't mind buying the hood struts but they could have least put a door lock on the passenger side.

And they could've put a one piece driveshaft in instead of...
You can go on and on, but they did what they did. So we the owners are making the cars what they should've been to start with...
I've got mine ready to be installed, about time that bastard hood stand got off my car...Click image for larger version

Hey Brew Guy - (I dig the name, you guys get some Pliny out there yet ?) You're going to love the MMD Hood Struts and I couldn't agree with you more that they're something that Ford really skimped out on!! Let me know if there's anything else I can ever lend a hand with and thanks so much for your support and business, we really appreciate it!

King - I go back and forth on those and I Like a subtle look or just a standard strut but that's just me!

Anyone else have issue with the washer lines? I keep getting them pinched if I do not watch them when closing. tried a tie down with double sided tape but came off. Suggestions.

One thing the install instructions do not mention are to remove these TINY pins on the connector parts of the struts and then put the pin back in once you have them connected/mounted. So they secure the connection. Otherwise, you will be banging it with a hammer or something to try and get them to pop in place (no bueno).

Not sure if they updated the install instructions since I got mine. A person with bad vision like me would have been really happy if they mentioned this.

Let me take a look at my setup, I believe we drilled a extra hole and used a black Zip tie to hold it in place, will take a photo and post it!

Ok not the best photo's but we drilled a hole in the support bracket that covered the original mounting spot on the hood and used the push clip that was already there and attached it to the bracket. I believe we used a 1/4 in drill bit.
