I used to get upset with my 2011 with 2.73s. By the time it picked up speed, people have already passed me. Now with 3.31s, i can take off with everyone else.

Sure, but I love the 32+ MPG's I get on the highway and for a DD its perfect combination of fun and economical.

I agree. I'm still lost though I'm at 2000 rpm w stock gears at 80mph. How are the 3.73 getting 2500r?

Well, let me say the 2.73's were FUN!! On the highway I knew my power band ....the car would GO 55-110mph! Still getting great gas mileage! I am now still adjusting to the 3.73's! It actually may be SAFER ...LOL. I'm not running 110-115 in the interstate. I'm finding now two lane car rides at 65mph's are very fun(especially since I got a convertible) . The passing of other cars up to 80-90 mph and bringing it down to 65 again is very exhilarating!! Then stopping at the stop signs and getting on it a bit to 65mph.....Really, it has ceased to be transportation ....it is just a fun hot rod!! I'm finding this a BALL!! I have a work car and my wife's car. If I had to go DD on the interstate as transportation ...I definitely would drop to 3.55 or 3.31's! BUT that's just ME!!

Don't shell out the $$$ again to drop to 3.55s, trust me it's almost unnoticeable. Like I've said before go test drive a 3.31 to see if you like it better. Gear selection is something that you should have researched again and again to find what's right for you. Your biggest complaint about 3.73s is the higher rpm on the highway which with a basic Google search you would have seen exactly where it would have been rpm and speed wise. I think this is what is puzzling to some that it came as a surprise to you. Sounds to me that you jumped the gun and just went with the common gear swap ratio without doing the research first at what you actually were looking for. Take your time unless you have the money to burn.

You don't know till you drive it. Didn't realize how much I'd miss the 2.73's on the highway. That being said the 2.73's had nothing down low. I DEFINITELY wouldn't change to 3.55's after this and the 2.73's had nothing out of the hole. That would only leave the 3.31's...I have NO regrets. I definitely feel enlightened on the 3.73's. Back in the day...I had NO MONEY to experiment! It's the journey , not the destination!! I'm going to keep them for this year and make a decision this winter.

I have had my 3.55s w/ a 1 pc ds for ~8 months now, 10k+ on the car. Mixed hwy/city driving they are perfect. Initially mpgs bombed but now if taken lightly I can achieve ~29 mpg on so cals freeways going the speed limit, 65-70 mph, nd city mpg is uneffected if youre not throttling it everywhere u go...

My fpg increased drastically, especially in city driving. On the highway i can maneuver around traffic much easier than i could w/2.73s. Before drone was an issue w/ my roush with higher rpms but glasspacks fixed that. I highly recommend for someone who strictly does city driving nd care more about spg to get 3.73 or for mpg nd straight hwy get 3.31, if youre mixed go 3.55s!

im also lowered nd on 19" brembos

It's just a fun car now...I really don't car about that gas mileage....but getting use to the gears is making a difference. 3.55's were my first choice...I was steered in a different direction. The car is such a BEAST now....WOW!! So as long as I got the 3.73's in I'm going to have fun, take some time and ponder the cars future!
