So I picked an x pipe for my 2014 mustang and installed it myself with help of a couple friends. I have been driving around for a while and now I'm not sure if I want it anymore. My reasons for this is that that sound it makes was not the sound I thought it would make. 1 To me it might be too raspy and it sounds like my engine forcing sound/power out instead of make it smoothly. 2 It makes everything inside my car rattle from my seats to my steering wheel. 3 when people say there is no drone... They are wrong when you are driving and barely even picking up speed it's really droning. Only time when its not is when you're at a constant speed. I'm not sure if I should keep it or switch to H pipes. I would like to hear everyone's thoughts.
I would go with a quieter axleback. I had the roush on my first 5.0 and the gt500 ab on my current one. It's the perfect chill sound. Sometimes I miss the roush but most of the time I am happy with them quiet.
Yeah that's what's bugging me! To much rasp! And is a H pipe better on that? The performance part is not so much of a performance concern since it's my daily driver...
I have an Ford racing X pipe, paired up with borla s types and it's not raspy at all, how raspy does it sound? Do you have any video to compare to mine..
MPT TUNE, Borla S-Type, Airaid Cai, Ford racing X pipe, Mac ceramic shorty headers, 2010 GT500 rims, 35% tint, Sr Springs, J&M phb, camber bolts, blacked out side markers, front and taillights.
Oops sorry didn't see you have the off road, so yeah it will be loud and raspy without the cats on.

I'm running Borla longtubes, custom off-road h-pipe, 18" glasspack resonators, and Borla S-type axlebacks. Absolutely in love with it. Now to get some videos haha
I can see there is some what of a difference but not a complete one. And thank you everyone for your help, and opinions, but I have decided I'm going to sell it after all. It just makes everything rattle way to much and the drone is up there too. Only reason I'm getting rid of it, it's because it's my daily driver. But when I put on the x pipe I did notice a power gain.
