yours doesn't look too bad from what i see. yours looks a lot more of like, a bumpy finish than mine though. like as if it's a different material?

Those bubbles should disappear, mine looked like that. It bothered the hell out of me
But after some time they went away.

I tried film for my 3rd brake light and side markers. It wasn't from American Muscle, but bubbled up and looked terrible a few days later. I was going to reorder from American Muscle, but I figured the same thing would happen again (either due to quality of film or my failure at installation). Actually ended up going to a shop today to get the, redone and highly recommend a professional job. Here's the results:

Just use the spray on stuff and wet sand and polish it like no tomorrow. Mine are clear as glass, smooth as the cars paint and look like they came that way from the factory.

mine had no issue going on. they were great. looked amazing and had no bubbles. it's the fact that 4 months later out of nowhere they started looking like garbage lol so I have no problem installing them. it's not something I would bring somewhere to install, seeing as its just a spray and place type of job.

PM received and replied! Curiosity killed the cat though and I'd love to see what kind of guitars you're working with (Not to completely go on a tangent!) This is something where I don't believe you'll have to be replacing them like this ever other month. I've had them on my car for over 4 years and they didn't deteriorate like this at all! It's definitely on the odd side but just let me know via PM and we'll go from there!

Sorry for thread jacking but I got excited when I saw all those pretty Guitars.
I had a nice personal tour of the G&L factory including Leo Fenders private workshop back in 2006 when I was writing for www.guitargearheads.com online magazine.
Beautifully prepared instruments

If you want tinted tail lights, i highly suggest the raciom aero smoked tail lights from AM. I didnt not like the stock tail lights on my 2012 but i LOVE the smoked after market ones! (Disreguard the dust)

looks good! but i've got a 2014, so they don't have those smoked lights i don't believe..either way, these tints are only what, like $50? rather than buying an entire new light.

Op has 13-14 tails so that's not really an option unless he wants to do a reverse conversion

Sweet!
I use the vintage cabs myself. A little warmer sounding for classic rock and blues.

When you put the New Tint on Use a Blow Dryer or Heat Gun to dry them after you get out the Bubbles. They adhere way better & No Air Bubbles at all. Just keep the heat about 12" away from the vinyl & keep the dryer moving. Don't hold it in one spot. Every light on my car was done that way a year ago & no problems.

yeah, i did that. used a hair dryer so it wouldn't get super hot like a heat gun.

Don't you think you should check to see if their is a protective film before you let AM ship you a new set?

Yeah they're a great company. I was telling my wife that would be a wonderful place to work just the other day. I'm going to give mine some time before I have them send replacements.

I did. I checked when i got home today. there's absolutely nothing to peel off besides the actual film.

idk why people kept saying there's a film... you guys who say there is, do you even own these tints? the few of us who do in this thread said that there's no protective film on the top.

the way they come packaged is in a bag, and they're stuck in to a plastic sheet. there's nothing on top. you take them off the sheet, wet both sides, stick it on, wrap the squeegee in a microfiber, and push out the bubbles.
