I was telling my friend about how I just ordered some Koni SRT's and he speculated that since that shock is much firmer than what comes standard on our cars, that it might actually raise the ride height. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks
the springs are what really adjusts height...I've HEARD the Koni struts actually will lower it approx 1/4-1/2 inch due to a slightly different spring mount position but am not sure.
They only lower the front slightly if you go with the 05-10 shocks with GT500 mounts. It's because the shocks are physically shorter than the 11-14 front shocks. Rears are all the same 05-14.
Thanks fellas! I really appreciate the input. I'm not looking to lower the car because of issues with my back, so I'm pretty happy with the stock ride height but I didn't want it to be riding like a truck haha much like my old 2 valve
The shocks will help some to stiffen up or soften the ride but the springs contribute to the majority of the stiffer ride. If you are on stock springs and upgrade to the koni struts then you should actually have a softer/smoother ride and should be able to adjust the koni's to make the ride softer or rougher.
Your mustang will definitely handle and corner better with the Koni upgrade as well.
