Well they are a new company trying to bring a new product to the market. I am sure they will update their website soon enough.

Could be a small shop so they would rather spend their time wrenching.....who knows but at least there is a video to start with.

So if I have a JLT catch can and a x4 would it be like $500 cheaper?
I see 2 3.7s but how long have they been running on boost?
Also where are they based out of?

The owner of that Mustang in the video has had the kit for about 2-3 weeks I believe. She's been loving her kit, from what I gather. Daily drives it and takes it to the track whenever possible.

Glad another shop is putting out another kit for the 3.7. I would rather have a Vortech head unit over a Procharger anyway.

Procharger is louder and doesn't sound as good. I know you can get the helical gears to help out I just like the Vortech kits over Procharger. This is me comparing the 5.0 kits I've been around tho.

I recognize the dyno as being on the facility owned by Dyno Tuned Performance in Virginia Beach, VA. I have seen the blue car driving around a few times.

If you have interest, I would contact Tim at the email address in the OP. There are phone numbers as well and keep in mind that its east coast. Again I have no interest here other than I am glad to see multiple options for our motor and I'd like to see the guys who put in the investment of time and capital get some support from the 3.7 community.

Is the Vortech superchargers not as reliable as the prochargers?

That depends what procharger head unit your talking about. The p1 is equivalent to the vortech V3.
The D1 is closer to the Paxton 2200. Which I give the upper hand to the 2200 over the D1, As the Paxton Can make 1,000. You will need a F1 head unit for that with procharger.

The V3 will make about 750 maxing it out.

So Rap, does this kit for the 3.7 sounds promising. Does this sound like something that may be better than the procharger kit?

Have a great day!

If I had a 3.7 I would take the vortech kit over the procharger for sure.

Well, you are the man at this stuff and if you would recommend the vortech over the procharger , then I would buy the Vortech.

At 8 pounds boost on the Vortech they are getting over 420 rwhp. That's great. I think with the procharger on 8 pounds its over 400 rwhp.

Have a great day!

I'm quite interested in this kit. I really hope it works out well. I would really like to a custom exhaust set up and FI. Blows + happy gas sounds really fun.

Ehh, i feel the difference between the two headunits on this platform will be hard to distinguish. I will add this little disclaimer though*, i have not been impressed with the reliability of the procharger kits i have seen thus far for the 3.7.

Its entirely possible i have just seen some ragged out kits, but i've seen check valves fail which causes the crankcase to actually see boost, i've seen intakes that dont fit at all and rub all over everything. If the vortech kit is even marginally better in that respect, then yes, by all means go with that one. The procharger currently is just winning by default on this platform by being really the only option.

I agree, a lot of people are just STUCK with going with procharger, it'd be nice to see more videos of the vortech and some install pics if possible.

Called on the vortech....they send you the tune on the sct4 NO CUSTOM tune needed. If you have a sct4 now, they will take off 300.00! Offering install special of 800.00. 441 rwhp at 8lbs of boost!

Don't get stuck on that power output. #'s are going to vary. They are telling you that as a selling point. To get you hyped up and obviously it worked lol

Hyped?? No just giving more info on the thread....price just went from 4700-4400 if you have a sct4. Stating the installation price....also the fact no custom tune needed! One was disputing that, so clarifying...I would be satisfied anywhere in the 400's!

No custom tune needed. Thats a load of crap.
1. Every car is going to be different, so they will have to adjust to that specific car through datalogs. Which in turn makes it a custom tune

You won't have to pay someone to tune your car and take the chance of them screwing it up.

Yes. But for them to tell you no custom tune, shows they talk to alot of people who have no clue.

No your jumping to conclusions...they didn't say that. If you put it on a dyno they would tweak the tune on your sct 4

Pretty sure what they meant was they will send you a safe tune but some datalogging would be necessary to be safe. There are too many variables from location to location just to point out some facts.

EXACTLY lol... I'm still pretty new! But my point is the will take responsibility for getting the car tuned without a third party.

I would not rely on the tunes they send you, i would still look to get a proper tune. I've seen a lot of what company's call "base maps." They're more like "get you running" maps.
