North Texas State Inspection Help

Hey all,

Wondering if any of you could help me out in finding a shop around Arlington/Mansfield area to get my inspection done. Running an off-road h-pipe so already know it won't pass. I have one in mind, but not sure if they'll pass or not anymore.

Thanks!

Just swap back to your stock mid pipe.

Is it a "visual" inspection, or does the off road H-pipe fail emissions testing?

Going to be tough if it fails emmisions testing; what you'd be asking for is a location that will slide you through; if they get caught, I'd assume the state will revoke their license, and/or fine them.

In Houston, you can pass with no cats, i've done it for years. The vehicle is allowed 1 "not ready" code for disabling various systems (EGR also causes a not ready if deleted), so as long as there is no CEL, and the AFR is on point - they measure afr via the factory widebands from the obd-II - you will pass.
