The Mustang Wave! (Part 1)

These are the rules of the road when you are a proud driver of a mustang. These guidelines are for all you unaware of how to properly drive a mustang. I was unaware myself until recently. These are all optional, however, recommended.

The Mustang Wave

The Mustang wave seems to be one that most people don't seem to understand, however, it is quite simple. No matter where you are on the road, whether it is in the deserts of Saudi Arabia or the city streets of New York, you must wave at any mustang driver you see in a mustang. For example, Joe is driving home from work and has had a bad day, but sees another mustang driver, he instantly waves and doesn't think twice.

This is Part 1, there will be more to keep you guys up to date with how to go about driving a mustang properly. Until then, this has been Brandon B. with your guide to the mustangs ride. See yah.

The Mustang Wave! (Part 1)

Haha this is great. Do you think we could convince ford to include this guide in the manual?

I voted that I suck...I don't see that many Mustangs worthy of a look. If I do and I can get close enough Ill acknowledge them. Other than that I don't wave.

Having ridden a Harley for many years I actually got real tired of the wave. Just let me ride my bike. Then I got a PT Cruiser and wave wave wave. Sheesh don't start this stuff. Lol
Not one wave from anyone since I got my Mustang. Instead they want to race!
Please no waves!!!

If I see you on the road, don't wave. Let's grab some coffee.
I'm good with that.

I voted no, I keep to myself when driving. I've almost gone into other lanes looking at cars before so I think my attention is best directed at the road. If other people are waving at me they probably think I'm stuck up. I think most people here in az are like that, not too many friendly people on the road.

The Mustang Wave! (Part 1)

My brother in law has a Jeep Wrangler and the "wave" is a Jeep thing as well. He got tired of it and put on a decal on the corner of the windshield down low on the drivers side that is a hand waving. Now he gets to wave at every Jeep and mind his business at the same time.

If I see a modded Mustang I will try to get close and check them out. Usually give a thumbs up and receive one if the person is paying attention.

The most that I ever give is a slight nod of the head as an acknowledgement that there is another Mustang in my presence.
So here you go guys. A group Mustang wave so that you don't think I'm stuck up!

The Mustang Wave! (Part 1)

Now just to clarify, what about a 👍? Is it a definite no, has to be a wave, end of story, lock it way, never ask again? Or is it a tolerable substitute?

Yes, the wave is not just a PT cruiser wave... or a Harley wave, this is the wave of legends. The Mustang Wave.

^^^ This ^^^^

I also used to be a Corvette and Harley owner, and they too had this silly deal about every Corvette/Harley driver having to wave to another, or they were a snob.

Have fun waving though. Soon you will join the ranks on those that found this goofy fad to be just that, a goofy fad.

poor impulse control

How about awkward stares at your car at stop lights and such? Does that count? Lol. People are always checking out my car. Sometimes my wife gets uncomfortable and wants the light to change quicker.

I wish people around me did this. In my Audi I waved, in this there are just too many people with them so its not an exciting thing for them. Kills me inside when I see jeeps, bikes, and subies showing each other some wave love and I cant enjoy that any more =[

The Mustang Wave! (Part 1)

We do this with the classics in my town. Luckily no body messes with the classics, except the Camaro owners.

Because these cars are so popular, it takes me a little to see if the owner is owning one because they love it (Ie, clean car, any exterior mods, no broken ****) or because that's all they can get (beat up 4th/05-09 v6s).

If they do happen to have a clean car, around here we stick our hands out the window and throw up a peace sign.

What if they love the car but sun didn't love the paint?

Detailing a car is the cheapest way to make it look nice.

Seeing a waxed car with black tires and gleaming rims looks far better than one with quarter panels, wing, and every cosmetic mod imaginable, with burnt paint and layered with dirt.
