Air conditioning problems

I am experiencing some odd problems. When running my a/c, it blows strong and cools fine for about 30 minutes to an hour, then it starts getting less cooler and the air won't come out of the vent vey much. If you turn off the power to the a/c controls or shut off the car for about 15 to 30 minutes, it will return to normal again. It doesn't appear to be low on freon. Is this a vacuum leak or a bad actuator in the a/c control? Help!

That sounds like your evaporator is freezing up and blocking air flow thru it. When you turn it off the ice melts and it works again. It could be your compressor cycle switch but I would take it to a pro for diagnosis.

If it's freezing up, it's probably low on Freon. But definitely get it looked at, you could have a small leak or something.

He says it doesn't blow out as much when it happens. Maybe the blower motor is going out.

Mine had A/C problems at 4000 miles. Will see if I can find the paper work. Was fixed under warranty.
