Shorties or longtubes??

I have lt headers and an o/r x pipe and magnaflow resonators on it and it sounds ok I feel like it can be better. I was thinking of purchasing the bbk tuned shorty headers putting back the stock mid and later getting the mrt high flow. Any suggestions?? I have roush ab.

You think so? I just want to up the sound mainly and I know an h pipe can do the job but idk if a custom h pipe with lt headers would do

What you have is perfect! The axle backs are what is gonna change the tone. Shorty headers are about the same as stock.

I have a straight pipe with resonated tips and stock mid pipe and its loud! Tone is good but since you have an x-pipe mine be a little to raspy

Is that a camaro to the left?

I personally don't like the sound of Longtubes and an off road x on the 3.7. Lots of rasp

Yea it's my cousins lol a bit of cousin rivalry mustang v. Camaro both v6. That is my current issue I was thinking of switching back to my catted pipe and switching the roush mufflers for magnaflow. I'm kinda stuck with the LT headers since there already on the car. What do you think?

Sounds good a low rpms, but I'm sure it sounds like nails in a blender at higher rpms like the rest of the catless 3.7s. No offense, but that's way too loud for my taste.

I was thinking that but the roush mufflers will still be raspy and I'd have to buy it piece by piece

More like a nutrabullet with nails in it but it has a nice growl every now and then, that's why I was thinking switching out for my catted pipe and magnaflows

Nice. I commented on the vid. Where did you get the cut n clamp put on and how much did it cost labor wise? What all differences did you notice? We have a similar setup.

Ohh that was you! haha nice. I just responded to that.

Actually, I hacked it off with a sawzaw myself and then clamped the new one up there. Would've taken about 35minutes including jacking it up but I then found out AM sent me the wrong clamps So I had to run to the autostore and get some crappy clamps until they sent me the correct ones a few days later. I noticed a difference in sound right away. Also, higher RPM shifts seemed to flow better. It wasn't like I had to wait for the power band again after shifting, it just kept more consistent power.

Sounds weird to be honest. Has no roar or rumble. Judging by the video.

Yea the video is weird you have to see it in person trust me there's a nice rumble to it and I have more power to like the roush had so much back pressure. When I Rev it it's sooooo nice way better then the roush I mean I still have the resonators so if I decide to take those out it'll up the volume.

Well, as long as you are comfortable with them then that is all that matters. Videos rarely do justice. Always try to find that great balance between sounding good, and sounding too loud (attracting police).

Your 100% right it's a beautiful sound I just couldn't take it right. The police is the last of my worries here in miami
