Gotta say, I've had this for 5 days and I'm going to say, for the money, this is one of the best mods you can do.

Absolutely love it.

I start my car about 10 minutes before I leave my desk and my car is nice and air conditioned for me. Will be even better in the winter.

EXACTLY! Lol I like turning mine on when I wake up and by the time I leave to work its already to the proper temperature and blowing nice and cold!😎 Pays for itself! I hate getting in a hot/cold car! As for the actual installation it's pretty straight forward, just watch the video they made for the focus and read the ones sent to you, might take a couple tries but you'll get it! They also have a number to call if you need more assistance

I just did a search on American Muscle, and they don't have any remote starts. I'm surprised.

Also, thanks BrandonB for finding this!

Yeah, me too.

I'm just saying in general. American Muscle doesn't offer any remote starts. I feel like that's something they should offer.

So it activities the air/heat even though the controls are manual and not automatic?

I imagine if you left them on, then I imagine they would default to whatever setting you left them on when you last turned the car off.

This^

It's just like starting your car with the key. Whatever your HVAC is set to is what it'll be when it remote starts.

IMPORTANT!!!!

be sure to shut off you wipers. They will wipe as soon as started and can get damaged. I had to fix the ones on my shared (with a neighbor) plow truck when she left them on and I went to start it when it was covered in 2' of snow

Given I never drive in the rain this should not be an issue.

I am seeing where if I apply for an amazon store card I get $40 off of my purchase. Meaning $69 plus $4.99 shipping. I am thinking about doing that and then never using that card again. They want 25.99% interest on that sucker.

Installed on a Sunday. The Evo would not light up when plugging in the connections, texted support without thinking that it was Sunday. Immediately received a call back and he helped me fix the issue and walked me through the the rest of the programming. Works great, I like the fact it uses the factory key remote so I do not have a separate fob on my key chain.

nice update on the customer service. You see a lot more complaints on service (anyone's) than atta-boys and it is good to give props when they deserve it.

I think I am going to get the Viper 5706V system I've heard good things. I would just get remote start but you can't be too careful with your pony. Especially when it is a daily driver with some nice things.

That's great to hear! What was the issue out of curiosity? I'm thinking I'll add this to my wishlist for my birthday next week.

The four pin connector on the Evo had pulled out a little when I disconnected it to start the programming. When I reconnected it, the connection part of the Evo just needed to be pushed back in place. As I stated great customer service!

I wish I would have bought this last night. It is now currently unavailable. They don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

Give it a week or two, but they get like less than 10 at a time, so be sure to keep checking that link I posted! Good luck!

So how does the remote start work again? Press the lock button once then hold it the second time?

That looks exactly like it, and but I don't know if it comes with the plug and play harness, ALSO some people sell them but they aren't updated or formatted for your car, even ordering from their website I believe you have to buy another piece to update it, but if you order it from the Amazon link they do it all for you!

They got some more of these in. I did get the store card for the $40 off and only paid $75 for mine. Once I receive the card I will cut it up and never use it again. The only part about installing this thing that has me concerned is taking the plastic off of my dash and steering wheel column. The rest of it looks a lot easier than what I do at work for a living. Everything's pretty sturdy, none of my clips broke on my steering column, took my a while to put it on right though lol I was like upside down inside my car trying to figure out how the damn thing popped back in, but the rest is easy just bolts in, I had a little battery drill that saved me a lot of time! But the actual installation is easy! Plug and play! But man that's a good deal lol wish they offered it to me!

I believe it was a 7mm, 8mm and 5.5mm may need an extension for the steering column....and some pliers to smash the 2 taps together!

Umm the only downsides I can think of are:

1) I didn't get it before last winter.

2) The factory remote's range is not great.

I was reading a small amount. So you have to sacrifice a factory key?
