New Cosmetic Mods

Just had Side Scoops, Roush Chin Splitter, and the GT/CS rear diffuser installed.

Thoughts?

Diffuser was bought on ebay for $165 from QuirkParts.

I will probably need to contact AM for the side scoops. The tape on 1 side isn't really holding. And i did use the alcohol pads to clean the surface and the adhesive promoter.

Wondered how the side scoops would look like... looks like you're already trying to rip the splitter off though ahaha

I hate to say it but I'm done with theMMD stuff. I hate to be negative but a lot of this stuff isn't very good. I'm returning the Elanor scoops for the same reason, they just don't stick to the body very well. After a very short time it starts to separate from the body.

I love the rear diffuser. I need something like that on mine to break the white up a little bit.

You can put the diffuser on yourself if you are with cutting some spots on the diffuser itself for fitment. I didnt so I had Annihilator Customs do it for about $100. $100 for safe work is ok with me.

This has been the only time I have had an issue with an MMD item. It's just the bottom of the drivers side scoop. My window louvers are holding ok.

Oh gotcha. lol. Yea I double checked that it would clear it before going that far. In case I am super tired getting home one night and park to far in, I wanted to make sure it wouldn't damage it.

I kind of like the black gloss ones the Performance Package gives. It matches other accents on my car. Such as the hood vents and rear decklid panel.

What it NEEDS is a Pony Package grille in a couple of weeks *nudges*

You know I noticed just now, besides the Pedestal spoiler, my car is like the V6 version of the GT/CS. LOL.

Sorry to hear about the install trouble here but it's sounding like this just may have been a bad batch of tape here! I installed all of the cosmetic parts on Project Coyote a couple years back and I can still walk up to the car, grab a louver or scoop, and pull it to the point where it's shaking the car. We're happy to get you a new install kit set up but if you think that they're warped for any reason we'll have them replaced for you asap!

Alex

Thanks Alex. A new install kit would be appreciated. I just noticed the passenger one also has a small spot where it is coming off. Could I get tape, adhesive promoter, and alcohol swabs for both sides? I believe there is 3 strips for each side. I am just going to redo them both.

I did have a question for AM though Alex. Any idea why AM doesn't carry the GT/CS diffuser? I see they have the Roush one but it is for square tip exhaust. Idk, would just be easier to get all of this stuff from you guys. (Can't use AM discount code on ebay! )

Just called AM and they are sending me a new install kit for the scoops. Hope this one holds better. I'd hate to lose a scoop on the highway.

You know you don't have to block your plate out in those pics right? There's nothing anyone can really do with that information. And anyone can simply get your plate when they see your car. There's no difference between seeing it on the street or a picture online. Just thought I'd save you some time next time you want to post pics.

I got my diffuser from

http://levittownfordsupercenter.com/

It was 139 shipped. I shopped around ford parts dealers until I found one close to where I lived so shipping wasn't expensive.

Car looks good though man.

I'll try looking it up by that part number. I just selected a 2013 Boss and searched thru the components.
