RIP RTR Decklid Panel

Rest in Peace. I'm stuck with this taped up hole until I figure something out. Sure isn't pretty lol...

Stock should still work. I had to drive around like that for a week when I got mine all repaired but it sucks so I understand. There are lots of stock on Ebay though. If money were no object I would have it welded in and smoothed over and painted. but that isn't realistic lol. I think it is Trufiber that sells one. It is not concave like RTR but more strait across.

Yea, stock should still work. I have one broken clip (one of the corners) on mine so I'll have to see if it still holds properly. The first task will be to get all that tape off of my car... It's glued on tough lol.

Mine did the same thing. I sent it to a powder coating place and for $90 they chemically stripped and sanded it and put a new powder coat on it. Looks better than it did when I got it from RTR

OK, I zoomed in and it still says GT. What am I missing? Is your car a V6 or V8?

The gas cap is obviously not permanent. It's floating in the air held on by a single piece tape at the top.

It's a joke guys.

Yea to be honest, in all reality, noone is really going to care about badges. Unless someone THOUGHT you had a V8 and raced you. Then they might be disappointed. But your typical highway driver isn't even paying attention.

If you used the green duct tape you had 3.73 gears, you could likely stay with a GT. Gray tape only increases power 6%.
eBay replacement should be best inexpensive fix.
