Summer Time Upgrade - Finally!

Just dropped my car off earlier this afternoon, should be done tomorrow. This is what my car looked like when I bought it (this isn't the exact picture I stole it from google images):

Size:	115.8 KB

What's been/currently being done since then:

Eibach Pro-Street Coilovers
Whiteline adjustable panhard bar
Satin Black Borla S-Types
Satin Black wheels
3d Carbon GT500 Spoiler (will be done next weekend)

Will update with pics this weekend

New Pics:

The handling feels great and the Borla S-Types are perfect, deep and a bit loud, but not obnoxious.

Yes I do, want to donate to my go fast fund? (LPF Turbo Kit please)

These upgrades will satisfy my modification itch for a bit while I stock pile more money for those go fast parts.

A good start. My first thing was to start making the car look aggressive before adding performance. I didn't want a plain car that went fast. I wanted an AWESOME looking car that went fast! LOL!!!

Next step is a tune. That will start your (and your wallets) slippery slope for performance mods.

If I donate to your fund it will certainly not be for an LPF turbo kit

A car that looks good always turns more heads. I tend to buy more eye candy than go fast goodies...

If youre not tracking the car and just want stance, go for the BC coilovers. These are very decent coil overs for a DD. Now if you want to track it, then maybe KW or some higher end Teins.

Next big plans are going to be all about HP, but considering the cost of a good turbo setup and tune, that won't be for some time.

Between now and then will probably buy some cosmetic and suspension improvements in preparation for the turbo.

Thanks.

The ride is great, definitely a noticeable improvement over stock. It's not too stiff, but not nearly as soft as stock.

Hey, please share with us which wheels those are exactly and the size and tire size. They look great and I think I'm going with those for my next mod. Are you using any spacers?

They appear to be stock wheels either painted or powder coated...

Stock MCA wheels, 18", powdercoated satin black. You can definitely find similar versions of the OEM wheel, but I wouldn't recommend buying the OEM ones unless you really want them. You would be able to buy much nicer wheels than the OEM version for the price of OEM wheels in my opinion.

Some window tint would make a huge difference.

I thought they were at first but I think with it lowered it makes them look like 19's and nicer. I thought maybe they were the AMR ones on AM. I can't believe how lowering it makes it look so much better.
I wish I could lower mine but I live in NH and drive it through Winter and I don't think that would be smart for me. I need all the ground clearance for when the plow truck hasn't been out yet.

Yeah it would, only things stopping me is the PA laws, which are like 70% tint, which isn't even worth it at that point. If/when I move south that will most likely be one of the first things I do.

Just read the alrefire post about his turbo experience, yeah LPF is out for sure. If I do it'll be once and right.

Storm I work in pa all the time. My car is now at 2.5%. Never had an issue out there. Been pulled over twice with cops out there wanting to check the car out. 95% of tint tickets r add ons because they got u speeding and it's an easy bonus ticket. So don't get pulled over for speeding and u won't have any issues. Not to mention if u have blue eyes u can go to an eye doctor and get a note that makes tint legal. Blue eyes r the most sensitive to light

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of, I think I've gotten pretty lucky so far without being pulled over for speeding (nothing too excessive), even though I clearly was when I passed the cop, but like you said if I had tints on that would just increase my chances.

Lol, I did not know about that blue eyes thing, too bad mine are **** brown.

Most people don't but I got a lot of family friends who r cops and they told me to do that so I can be legal. I've been handed a ticket for tint before and just laughed. He goes what's funny. So I handed him my card and he stomped back to his car to rewrite the ticket.

Well after 3 hours (damn you 3M and making quality products), I finished on Sunday. So for now I'm done with mods, until next summer....
