SX4 Tuner issues

So I plugged my tuner in today to put the new tunes on it. I was trying to remove the old ones to clear up space and whichever one I try to remove I get the error "loading custom tune failed (ctf error)"

Has anyone seen this? I think it may be too late to call Bama tonight. My device is up to date. Cleaned up my computer and restarted it. Tried unplugging and plugging back in the device and restarted the SCT Updater program. Still getting the error.

I can rename the existing tunes, just not remove them. Really odd.

Is the program also up to date?

Well, I checked Bama's website and the latest release date on the software itself is Release Date: 12-15-2014. So I should be good on that portion.

Did you return the car back to stock before trying any of this?

Didn't need to. Only need to return it to stock if I am updating the device. But it is already up to date. Nothing was changed with the device so it shouldn't affect anything. I just loaded a tune to my car 2 weeks ago.

I was able to load the new tunes I got from Bama on to the device. I just cannot remove the old ones.

Do you have the sct updated software ? I downloaded it and had to update my device in March.

NEVERMIND!.. Just saw you're up to date as of two weeks ago lol

I was able to load the new tunes I got from Bama on to the device. I just cannot remove the old ones.

When you remove the tune, highlight the desired tune to remove, click the little arrows to remove tune, then you have to hit program for it to remove it off the tuner

I know. And that is when I get the error. Now that your tuner is updated, try removing a tune on your device that is from early this year. Before you updated your tuner.

Try returning the vehicle back to stock first.

Have the same problem. I heard you just have to overwrite with new tunes if that happens.

Thanks Alex. I will try to call them when I get the chance. It is nothing super pressing. I still have room for tunes on the device so I should be ok for now.

P.S. I am still waiting for my install kit for the side scoops, made the call last week for the stuff.

Found a fix or work around today while trying to load a new tune on a full device. I had to rename the file you want to take off to where it has no spaces in the name. Then it worked for some reason. Other wise go back to stock and unmarry then reset the tuner.
