Well, thats what we ME Techs are for now. Because the Admins want to put an end to the blasting. Everyone is new at some point.

As far as beginner mods. A tuner will be the best starting point for performance. Next is 3.55 or 3.73 gears. Maybe some suspension upgrades afterwards.

For cosmetics, your car looks pretty good. But maybe some new rims/wheels.

Also, i see you didnt have a spoiler. That would be a good thing to get. 2 most popular ones are the gt/cs pedestal spoiler or gt500 spoiler.

Once you have those, get a nice pair of mufflers to give some sound to that pony.

I have photo albums on my profile you can check out. I have done alot to my car. Converted it from a Base to a Premium. Cosmetics, performance, a little suspension.

Best for what? Best for you? Me? My budget? Yours?....you get my point.

Me personally I like eye candy. I did and still do visual stuff, I'm too old to be worrying about racing red light to red light. After that I like suspension upgrades. I've done some go fast goodies but for the most not my thing.

This. Best bang for the buck is the 3.73 gears. With a tuner, you're GTG.

Best upgrades for 3.7

I'm more of a performance over looks kind of guy.

So like Kevin said, I also highly recommend getting a tune first. Nothing will wake up your car as much as a tune. It's like a different car, especially if you're an automatic. You can't go wrong with any of the 3 major tuners: Bama, Steeda, MPT.

I'd start with Bama because they have the tunes for life deal, so any time you add a modification you can have them tune your car for it. Once you're more settled in with your mods, I'd get an MPT tune.

Next, go with gears. 3.31, 3.55, 3.73, or 4.10 depending on your driving style and what your goal is. Any of those will be a vast improvement over the 2.73s.

The great thing about the Mustang is the aftermarket is incredible. You can change whatever you imagine.

Steeda has tunes for life also. That's who I went with.

Nothing wrong with Steeda either. I have them as well. I would still highly recommend Bama first and then getting MPT down the road.

Have a great day!

Game changer: Tuner and CAI

Cannot tell you how happy I am with tuner (bama with free lifetime tunes from AmericanMuscle) and CAI. Changed shift points on my automatic 2004 V6 and now it is a beast (a minor beast in the galaxy of mustangs -- yes, the Ford Galaxy) but I like it and it was cheap and clean and now awesome.

for me it was some shifting mods (short throw/ high volume clutch line/ motor mounts) then I added sound mods (replaced the 4 base model Kazoos with decent quality spkrs / CAI / axle backs) next up will be to lower it I've been collecting parts for 6 months....come fall Mud is gonna join the lowered club.

Best Money I spent (performance wise) so far was on 3.55 gears.

About to do suspension in the next month (coilovers/control arms).
Coilovers just for stance though, nothing fancy for tracking the car.

I would either go with gears or some exhaust

^^ 3.55 gears and like a 27" tire is perfect for the 3.7 with a stick.

Im auto... :/

But I got 3.55 instead of 3.73 so I can get the lpf turbo kit for her in a few years.
I was told 3.73 is too much gear for the power.

ID:	184097 visual first than performance. Tinted my windows, getting exhaust next than I'm done. (For a now ) lol. The way I look at it is if you plan to build a track car I would have just gone with the 5.0... But all you really need is an intake, smaller mods. Check out AM.

All like 0 of them that are running outside of their shop car? You couldn't pay me enough to run an LPF kit and that's been my stance since day one.

Yeah especially since the v6 is lighter. The new v4 has a lot of potential as well

1. Get that hood painted. No offense.
2. Get yourself from 3.73 gears (I saw that you're an auto)
3. If you have serious plans of boost, get the big supporting mods out of the way now. Driveshaft, suspension, tires, etc.
4. Don't waste your money on a CAI. Use that money for headers and a mid pipe.
5. Get yourself a tuner with some tunes from MPT. Bama is watered down tunes, and their customer service is complete and total crap.
6. Get some lowering springs with your suspension. Will make your car look great and handle better.
7. spoiler - totally changes the rear of the car. I recommend a gt500 or gt/cs depending on your preference.
8. Enjoy learning how to do it all, the experience, and don't get too caught up or frustrated with things. Have fun with it, enjoy the car and drive it like it's meant to be driven

The 15 is brand new. Give it a year. Motor is the same so you have all of those options on the 3.7 and 5.0ooh.
But not the four cylinder. Typically takes aftermarket company's 6/8 months to do visual mods

I believe the exhaust is different on the 3.7 now though than the 14 but I may be wrong.

No doubt that the larger performace shops have a turbo 4 in their garage, and are tweaking it with designed parts they will be selling soon enough. It takes time to design, build, test, then get off to market a performance part. Any that come out too soon I'd be leary of, as they have not been out long enough for me to trust if I were to install on my ride.
