Cursed mustang!

So I have owned my 3.7 for less than a year. In that time I have had some TERRIBLE luck. First week hit by a drunk driver. A while later, got backed into by a random person who was kind enough to leave a note after decimating my quarter panel. This week a soulless person keyed my car. Now every panel except the trunk lid and rear bumper cover will have been replaced or repainted. Not to mention how terrible of a job BRANDON FORD (the worst ford dealer in Florida) did on the original body work.

My car rattles everywhere. I have shop towels shoved in-between many of the plastic interior panels and wheel well plastic as it is.

I was so upset this week. My insurance had me take it to one of their "express" locations that just happens to be a chevy dealership. I almost purchased a 2015 Camaro! Seriously filled out the paperwork and negotiated a trade offer. I just couldn't get over how slow they were though. I feel like my lightly modified 3.7 is definitely faster than the 3.6. Even stock I am confident the 3.7 is much quicker. Then I read the auto SS only does 0-60 in 5.3 seconds WHAT?

End rant.

Cursed mustang!

Really sorry to hear about all that man, things can only look up from here (right?)

Also, there is a special place in hell for people who key others cars...and people who drive drunk

Wow, that train of events really sucks! Hope things get better. I would probably be looking for a different car too. Love my stang and glad my luck has been better. But most days I drive mine it does feel like everyone is out to get me. I have had several near misses in the year and a half I have had mine, or at least it feels like it. Maybe I am just paranoid.

Best of luck going forward!

I feel your pain. Got rear ended twice in 5 months...fortunately only minor bumper cover damage, but still...sucks.

Got it back from the body shop today. Aside from tearing the window tint on the driver door which they will replace next week they did a fairly decent job. Only one small spot in the paint and I think in a week once it has cured a little rubbing compound should take it out.

What does the stock 3.7 auto do 0-60?

Depends on the gearing and driver but the consensus seems to be somewhere around 5.3 seconds.

I have seen between 5.1 for a base car with 3.31 option (a PP car is not likely to do this due to the increased weight), and 6.2 for a 2.73 premium convertible auto (the slowest possible combo due to lack of grunt below 4000 rpm and excessive weight).

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

Hang in there! It has to get better. Heck for the *** reaming you get on a trade in deal on a Camaro you may as well take the money and upgrade to a bright colored GT! Will be all good

LOL. At first glance I thought it was a STOP DROP AND ROLL poster. Also would be fitting. I only have 9,000 miles...

Made my day. Thanks.
