hey Alex, thanks! I've already got my rear lights tinted thanks to you guys and they look great.

I actually just found a great tint place here who has a good rep and will do my entire rear for 125! my appointment is Saturday at 3 and it'll be done by 530 woo!

thing is, I've got the quarter window blackout vinyls on, which I kinda like.. but it was literally only 30 bucks more to add that to the rear window, so I'm doing it. question though, should I keep the vinyls on or take them off now? I might go as dark as like 18 percent or so. I like having the rear blacked out, but with tint, maybe it'll stay cooler without the vinyls? idk. tough choice. I could always put the vinyls back on, but they've been on there perfectly since December and I'd hate to take them off now haha

I've never seen 18%. Typically you'll find 25 20 15 10 5 and 2.5. And some crazy people like me run 2.5% double layered. Why are you not doing the side windows?

illegal in NJ to have any tint on them, and cops give tickets for it all the time. I'd rather not risk it. and they told me 18 was what's typically stock on suvs from Ford and Chevy with dark tint.

Must be because it's factory that ways when it's tested cops know it's factory not aftermarket. That's my guess atleast

oh true, good call. maybe. in NJ though it's legal to have any grade on back windows.. just illegal to have any front Windows. such a stupid law.

Delaware is similar. You can only have 70% on the front windows (not even worth doing), but you can do limo tint on the backs if you want.

Luckily I have a ton of friends that are cops. They've gotten me out of so many tickets lol.
