But if the vinyl for that side needs to come off maybe American Muscle can lookout for that side, I just got those a couple days ago.

Lookout means you want something for FREE and HOOKUP means you want something for FREE.

If they do LOOKOUT or HOOKUP for FREE, that is something other owners of Mustangs might like to know.

That of course, for those who park under trees.

I know, been there, 2 attempts to do it right lead to an entire repaint to the tune of 14grand (billed to insurance). I pray they can do it right for ya, but I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling they will

what is the deal wth the red trim and roof rails? You get them somewhere? DIY? I gotta know!

I hear you, and your right I am going to go with them because they are cheap(for the price I think it's worth a shot). My main concern is the dents, if they can get that out good enough than I'm happy. As for the paint, I don't know how good of a paint job it's going to be for the price or how long it'll hold up, but if the clear starts chipping off, it'll just give me a reason to change my color of the car, maybe even get a custom job done. But hopefully the paint job would at least last me until I get the rest of the parts that I want, and all that would need to be replaced and the new parts painted anyways.

Oh and as for the trim and roof rails, that's a DIY Job. Tried to add just a little touch of Red without too much.

Just do yourself a favor and pull the vinyl off before they touch it. Maybe you can pm Alex of AM and ask if he can sell you one side at a little bit of a discount. But painting over that vinyl will look stupid. The small portion that is on the door will have a different sheen to it. Not to mention the opposite side will look different as well.

Ahh your correct on the definitions. So yes, under the circumstances maybe they would look out(and looking out can also be a discount), but if they say No, it's no biggie. They are only about 45 min away and I can have them that same day.

And hey don't talk about my tree like that lol, but yes I parked under a tree.

Yeah you have a point there, they would look different.

something to consider...although insurance MAY raise your rates and not give you any real $ if you go through a shop they recommend often it will come with a wtty.

Now that is a thought process I can follow. Uh oh, got a dent, need a custom paint job!

So what paint did you use for your trim and roof rails? That's a mix of plastic and metal. I asked a shop about color matching the roof rails and they didn't think it would work since the main section is metal and then there's the rubber on either side.

The paint that I used is Rustoleums red. The paint worked out fine on the material.
