AM pony delete billet grille help

I just installed the pony delete billet grille on my 2011 mustang v6 and I have to admit that I am disappointed. The reviews I read said once you install the grille you cannot see the hole from removing the mustang emblem. I can see it clearly if I stand 20 ft in front of the ride. I'm not sure if I did something wrong or what I can do to fix it. I would post a pic but when I do you can't see the cut out. I confirmed with a friend that they can see it as well. Any suggestions?

Getting rid of the pony is like getting rid of the confederate flag. Some things can be deleted, but not totally removed. Sorry...I couldn't resist. I'm new here so maybe I get one freebie?
I like my pony package grille actually.
I'm sure there is some ingenious way that you can fix this ordeal. Surely someone has been down this same road before.

Did you buy the grille that just bolts over the old one? Or did you buy the one that is a complete replacement for the factory grille?
I was planning on getting the complete grille replacement (which can be tough to find for the V6)

I bought the overlay grille I took it back off and figured out its an actual part of the bumper that I could see. I just spray painted that piece black and its worked. Just wish I knew I needed to do that upfront.

If your looking for a tri -pony, I have an extra one lying around. Double sided tape works well on grill ornaments.
