3DCarbon GT500 Spoiler

Thought I'd put up a few pics of the 3DCarbon GT500 pre-painted spoiler I just picked up. Install was straight forward, a bit tedious with getting up the OEM spoiler's attachment tape up but okay. The first few pics are with the OEM with the last ones being the new GT500 unit for comparison. Something of note: I picked this up from CJ's for a reason; AM paints theirs in house and the black trim piece you'll see below get's painted as well with AM. Other places, if you buy the unit painted, keep this trim piece black which I think look much better. I really feel the GT500 spoiler changes the attitude of the car. Now what to do next to keep up with that Kevin Cook kid?

That looks great! I also was trying to keep up with Kevin but realized that it was impossible. Lol

LOL. I am actually running out of things to do! I just got the 2015 GT style Performance Pack rims from AM. So I will get those added on soon.

I would say hood vents! Do you have headers?

Yea... I learned from your experience with the hood vents. The good side of following your mods. I went with the spoiler after changing my mind on headers. The ticking you mentioned would drive me nuts!

The ticking from what i was told was due to the headers changing the scavenging in the exhaust. I even went as far as having the header checked for leaks, replaced the new gasket with another new one, and had the bolts retightened.

probably hit and miss type thing. I had mine gone over twice and no issues. Just a sound I will have to live with.

Hampton - So you don't like the hood vents?

I like hood vents just no wet heat shroud. May have to go route of entire hood so I'll feel good about it. Way down the mod list though.

Just had my shorties put on by trusted shop and he said pass. Side wasn't seating right. He said the collected BAAARELY seat cuz their almost too big for stock piping. He sent it out to have it crimped and rolled down abit to seat down further into stock down pipe. And he put on some copper spray stuff to seal better. No ticking and runs awesome. Website said I don't need a new tune? Anyone else have to retune for bbk shorties?
