Track Times

So I figured I would provide some slip times at some recent track outings. During the day the Texas sun sucks... but at night I got a little better times. I don't have my slips on me but I should be going again so I can get those up.

STOCK GEARS:

1st- 14.58 @ .982 Reaction
2nd- 14.34 @ .378 Reaction
3rd- 14.23 @ .256 Reaction *Best Time

*EDIT

Forgot to mention I am launching at around 1600 to 1800 RPM and its an Auto.

Im hoping that my new gear set up will get me in the 13's, with those 3.73s getting installed soon. This as well as my panhard bar and Eibach LCA's. Sig line has my parts so far minus what I just listed. If you cant see...

MAC LT Headers
MAC Prochamber mid pipe
Roush ABs
JLT CAI
MPT 93 Tune
SR Lowering springs
NT555 Drag Radials 20x8.5 20x10 Staggered

What the...14.5 with those mods, one of them being a tune. Something isn't right. Even with stock gears. 14.5 is about what entirely stock 6s run without a tune.

What kevin said ... we were running 13.7s at 102 all day with just 3.73, intake, and tune from an auto. Granted, we had decent suspension and tires, so we were cutting consistent 2.0 60' - which is about the best you can get on the stock converter.

I almost cried a little. lol. Yea those are a bit big if you aren't putting down real power (400+). Even with 3.73s those would be a bit big still. I could only see wheels that big to compensate when going FI. Otherwise, that's too much grip and weight.

That's for the competitive tracking portion. For looks, yea some people like them.

That all being said and seen, I feel confident in taking you on the 1/4 mile again. LOL.

I'm a bit lost...
OP says.
"Sig line has my parts so far minus what I just listed. If you cant see...

MAC LT Headers
MAC Prochamber mid pipe
Roush ABs
JLT CAI
MPT 93 Tune
SR Lowering springs
NT555 Drag Radials 20x8.5 20x10 Staggered"

So does this mean he doesn't have the items in the above list installed even though they're in his signature?

I believe he is referring to the previous paragraph. Such as 3.73s, Eibach LCAs, and Panhard. This is why I don't put mods in my signature unless they are physically on the car. Kind of throws people off.

And I don't list every mod. Otherwise the list would go on and on. LOL

Thanks! I get it now. Must be my age setting in.
On your mods, it may be easier to list what you haven't done.LOL

Kevin's mod list would have to take up at least three pages of a post!!

Well it's not 3 pages but definitely more then I care to make people read all the time.

Alright, I might miss an item because the list is lengthy but here it goes. And this is the stuff that was installed/added AFTER buying the car.

Engine cover, JLT Catch Can, BBK Shorty Headers, Borla Mufflers, BMR Rear LCAs, Driveshaft, Hawk Brake Pads, Caliper Covers, 15' GT PP Rims, Bama 93R Tune, 3.73 Gears, Airaid CAI, BBK 73MM TB, Starkey Puddle Lamps, Side Scoops, Windows Louvers, GT500 Spoiler, Hood Vents, GT/CS Rear Diffuser, Roush Chin Splitter, Darker Window Tint, Premium Door panels, Premium Door Sill Plates, Shaker Radio Faceplate, Premium LED Cup Holder, Premium Brushed Aluminum Dash, Premium Cluster, Leather Seat Covers, Leather E Brake, GT500 Style pedals, Rubber Pony Floormats, Front and Rear Footwell LEDs, Mustang License Plate Bracket, and Pony Fender Badges.

Idk why I got the PP. I have already removed the rims and 3.31s. LOL

My car came with the 19" tires, Strut Tower Brace, GT sway bars, reverse sensors, fog lights, powered drivers seat, and Microsoft Sync. So that was nice.

If I do anything else, it will be upgrading the sound system and POSSIBLY suspension. Not getting spray or going FI.

Shout out to AM and Ebay. My two best friends for a majority of this stuff. LOL!!!

Lol I am actually putting those on this week, so technically they are "on"...

Yeah I love the 20's, but I am concerned at the fact that I have a buddy who runs 14.8 with his stock v6. Not feeling very confident right about now lol.

Im going with that RTR panel as the culprit!

I'd call RTR ASAP and show them the time slip.

I had 18x10 and it slowed me down to 14 flat. With the stock wheels I can 13.2 my first run so sold them and now feeling faster. Wheels make a huge difference for sure.

And that was my first runs ever, so I wasn't getting a good launch off or anything. Still trying to perfect it, Im hoping those gears help me get to the 13s since I know most of the better cyclones will be running those numbers.

102 is a normal trap speed for a stock or lightly modded 3.7.

Get the 60' down to the 1.9's and you should have a 13 second time slip. Assuming you're at decent elevation.

Oh that was your first ever run? Sorry about that. Well, practice does make perfect. When did you receive your last revised tune may I ask?

Lol no worries, still getting my times down though.

My last update was after I got my LT headers and midpipe with my new wheels. Ill need to get another one soon with my other add on's after this week, I know I should be in the 13's.

That was the old auto car, the standard has the same suspension, Catless H-pipe and 3.55s. If i was a betting man i'd say its easily a 13.2 around 105 with a good launch. Granted, i havent been able to convince her to make the hour drive out to the track to let me beat on her car. Shocking, i know.

That is the exact opposite of what happened when I moved to an 18" wheel. Granted, my wheels are lighter than the wheels most people go for, and I only use good rubber (I am a shameless Hoosier addict).

A lot has to do with the DA when he raced. Hot and humid with elevation will do that to numbers. You need to post your 60' and your trap speeds also to get the big picture.

The only time I've taken mine down the track I did a 14 flat at 100mph with the only mod at the time was roush axle backs and 87 octane tune. But I haven't taken her back down the track since.

Track Times

I ran 13.6 in my auto completely stock aside from a 93 tune and 255/40/19s.

I also have Borla S-Types, but they won't affect performance.
