This is my same thought. Just wasn't sure if I should enjoy a day with the ME group up there and push the purchase back till mid october or be lonely and buy it quicker. LOL

^ just watch what you spend up there. Hotel is paid already so food and gas is all you should spend. No way gas should be more than a few hundred round trip and food shouldn't kill you either. You should be able to do it and spend no more than 5-600 bucks. You said you had 1200 for the trip. Just think of what you save as that much more you have for it.

Plus you always have those wheels you can sell too. Start listing!

Have you talked to Alex about the procharger? He could hook you up with a good price I am sure.

Since you're starting to get serious about this, i'd highly recommend replacing the Check valve procharger includes, i've seen it fail and boost the crankcase, plus its just cheap and not very confidence inspiring.

This is what we use on the Mazdas, i know for a fact this CV is good past 30 psi, so you'll have no problem. You can order barbed fittings through them as well, or just find them at an Ace, home depot, etc... You'll just need hose barbs that fit a 5/8" hose.

McMaster-Carr

Part # 7775K54 if it doesnt come through in the link.

Correct. The PCV hose is a 5/8" but 1/2" is as close as you can get.

Ok. I will buy that as soon as I can. Or when I get the tune and spark plugs. Anything else you can think of?

But really nice stock ones. To me, some of the best Ford has offered on the newer ones. Cuz I didn't really dig the brembo rim design or the v6 pp gt/cs design.

Of course, highly debatable between people as everyone has their own taste.

As far as my car, I consider stock what it came from Ford with. And technically, my car, or even the 2014s for that matter, didn't have these rims already.

I'm so confused right now. All I am saying is sell your stock wheels and make some cash for your supercharger purchase.

Totally thought you were ragging on my new rims. LOL. At least, that is what I expect now.

Don't worry, I have started to try and sell them. Posted them on CL and on the TX mustang FB page. Really don't want to ship them.

$550 for a Supercharged tune from MPT??!!!! Are you f***ing kidding me?! That is insane! Am I looking at this right?

I might as well go through the grief of finding a dyno shop in TX and get it done instead of paying $550 and going through "phases" and emailing back and forth.

At least the spark plugs are a decent price...

I read your post and I will look into it. I was just saying.

On a side note, any idea how much his dyno tunes run around? Does he have a website?

He charges anywhere from $450-500.
You can't go wrong with him. He is definitely one of the top tuners out there. He will also come highly recommended from Shaun at aed.

Rapinator - Thanks a bunch for getting me in touch with Jeff. I emailed him earlier today and he has already responded! Talk about QUICK! You were right on the dot with the $$ value of the tuning. We are going over the specifics now.

Then I should be able to save about $400 a month going from there. Of course, the more everything will cost, the longer it will take to save.

So ideas and thoughts are welcome. I am not super familiar with this. I DO know it gets the biggest gains of course. The only kit I am aware of is: Procharger ProCharger High Output Intercooled Mustang Supercharger System 1FT212-SCI (11-14 V6) - Free Shipping

The forum code will knock off about $200 I think. Not sure what labor will be.

Is that the complete kit? Meaning nothing else will be needed? Will my current mods support this?

I am clueless here but I have held out because my wife has been adamant about saving for a house but she wants a puppy so bad she folded. LOL!

I don't want to be too cheap with this. Because I know this will grenade if I do. However, I want to do everything at the most reasonable price. If it is going to cost over 10,000, I will just forget this dream.

is an option that I have been looking at but it is a turbo, if that is something you like.

No, I am not really a fan of Turbos myself. I was going to put a turbo on my old 3000GT and opted out and sold the car.

Just waiting to see how long he thinks it might take. Any one have any idea how long these dyno tunes take to make/dial in? I'd hate to be without my car for a few days.

Ok. Everything will be installed when I drop it off. All they will be doing is making and loading the tune.

Update: Jeff just got back to me. Assuming no issues, 1 full business day.

I understand that. I meant problems relating to the install, meaning if he does not have to fix something

So now I need to get my hands on a Base tune to hobble my way to that shop after the install. I couldnt find anything on AMs site unless I am missing it. But did anyone figure out if they offer Base tunes for the 3.7? I remember seeing in GrabberBlues thread someone from Bama said No.

If the MAF diameter is the same as stock, you can limp it over there out of boost. Going from Draw through to blow through actually has you run a little rich, so it wont hurt anything other than MPG as long as you're out of boost.

Depending on what injectors he has may cause a problem on the tune he has now.
