Hmm...just curious. If I wanted a new belt to replace the used one in the kit, where can I find one? Not sure what to look for exactly and I don't see a great selection of Serpentine belts on vendor sites.

Look what is back on the car....lol. I will say, when the Airaid was on, the a/f ratio ranged from 13.7-14.3 when idle and cruising. Now with the stock air box, it seems more consistent, 13.9-14.1. I am assuming that is good?

ID it when new....write it down. Don't s/c's normally run timing belts? there should be numbers on it. I get my specialty belts from BDI (Bearing Distributors)

edit: your local parts monger (or Amazon will be good, but Belt number is important!!)

Alrighty. Bought the check valve, procharger oil, spark plugs, and picked me up an aFe air filter to see what the fuss was about. I have used the K&N and stock in the past.

Look on their fb page or any of my build threads :p
I had enough bs when I realized they were putting other people through the same experience I was, I put them on BLAST on their fb page.
Justin typed up an angry, incoherent response, sent me an angry message, then blocked me from his personal account.

Awesome! Look forward to hearing yours and elkorita's review.

For the people who say "Just get a 5.0". It is not that easy. With a $4,000 rebate on a new 5.0 and a $4,000 down payment, I was denied. Reason provided by most banks - Credit life is not long/hasn't matured enough yet.

Also I am the cosigner on my wife's 2014 vehicle. So they also said my credit is not yet matured enough to handle over $60,000 in car debt. Regardless of income.

They said it would be even worse for a used 5.0 because they don't have rebates and other factors can affect the value. Such as any damage, miles, etc. Whereas with new, you usually don't have to worry about all that. Plus you get the discount rebate. (Which I guess banks like because they can purchase a car for under it's actual value?)

When I got my 2014 V6, I tried at almost every dealer here in Austin and San Antonio. The V6 was my only option as far as a Mustang.

I knew this would be the case. and I don't have $25,000-$40,000 laying around to just go buy one.

Those numbers are actually slightly rich, typical cruising and idle should be 14.7 give or take.

The MAF has an IAT node to account for changes in density.

Hey Voltwings the real one lol, thanks again for this info. But Is it too rich that would cost problem? Or is it better than too lean? What is the right baseline for afr from wot, cruising, and idling? If you were near I would buy you a drink in every info. You've shared.

To think my car is running too rich makes me feel weird. As this is the same way it ran from Ford and after the tune. Once it gets dyno'd, we will see for sure.

Would Ford purposely tuned a car wrong? Lol

"Too rich" is like down into the 8s or 9s, because at that point you're basically washing the oil off the cylinder walls, so yall are fine.

Dont take this as absolute, because it depends on a LOT of factors, but a good ballpark can be:

Idle: 14 - 15 is ok
cruise: high 13s to low 15s (i cruise my speed 3 at 16:1 for mpg)

For both of these, the ideal AFR is 14.7, but being a little rich is more safe than being a little lean. The AFR will also never be perfectly steady because your STFTs are constantly making adjustments as you're on and off the gas, feedback from the O2 sensors, etc ...

As far as WOT for an all motor car, mid 12s is about right, i know some of the LS motors prefer as much as 13, my coyote ran a 12.4.

For boosted pump gas applications, mid to low 11s is about where you want to be.

Again, these are all just ballbarks based on general standards.
