Responsiveness from Gas Pedal.

Would using a throttle spacer be an inexpensive way to give my 14 V6 Convertible quicker on the pedal?
I know, I know the V8. But I like the Premium Convertible and couldn't afford it.
Advice

A tune would get you exactly what you want, but that's $400 lol

Ok, just saw a lengthy discussion on this issue from 6/15. What does the spacer accomplish??

Whistling sound. From your intake and your wallet from emptying.

This topic gets debated over and over. Some say it's useless. Others will say they felt a difference. Only way to find out is to buy one and see for yourself. IMO.. Spend your money elsewhere.

I've read a bit on it, it just makes a cool whistle sound.

Get a tuner, it's night and day with throttle performance, plus you'll need it anyways for any performance parts later on.

A guy (Diego Rivera, for thode of you on fb) dyno'd his car with and without the spacer. He had no gains whatsoever.

I don't have one on my car, and wouldn't. However on my last car I had one installed and had before and after dynos which revealed a power loss in HP and torque. Get a tune if you can. Right now in the for sale section there is an unlocked tuner for $200. You could buy a tune from your choice of tuners (avoid mpt like the plague) and be good to go for around $300.

Money well spent. I'd never go back to the stock tune.

The worst advice ever. MPT is the top dog when it comes to tuning the 3.7.

I can compare to two other tuning company but MPT is by far the best outthere..

MPT TUNE, Borla S-Type, Airaid Cai, Ford racing X pipe, Mac ceramic shorty headers, 2010 GT500 rims, 35% tint, Sr Springs, J&M phb, camber bolts, blacked out side markers, front and taillights.

I have heard plenty of good responses to MPT tunes other than paying $75 for every new tune but if you would rather deal with Bama's rude customer service and around the world explanations on how everything is your fault not theirs go ahead n get free "tunes" for life. You can get good tunes from Bama but the process to get them is about 75% more difficult than with MPT

Mpt does free revisions for 6 months and after that I don't think he charges 75

Mpt and jms are by far the 2 most experienced tuning companies with the v6 both have the track records to prove it.

Tune will probably do it. They scare me, however, since I'm paying extra for an extended warranty and don't want to blow something that's not covered due to a tune.

Must have had a bad experience. I have never had issues with them and they've been more than helpful after plenty of retunes.

It's only $20 after the first 6 months.

The only other tuner I'd do business with is Steeda (and have), granted their tunes are a bit more mild compared to MPT but still good power.
