Tires

Guys, what are the downsides of running staggered tires on my daily driven mustang? For instance, 255 on the front and 285 on the back. Thanks

Only real bad side is you cannot rotate them.

Agreed with Kevin. Mines the same now 255 and 275 but I'll be running 285 when I replace rear tires.

So I'm guessing with staggered tires Ill just have to replace the rear before I replace the fronts?

The looks out weigh any negatives. I run a 295 in the rear and it looks nice.

The most you can do with them is swap the sides they are on. But not front to back and vice versa. If you drive normal, you can get pretty good miles out of them.

Not if they're one directional lol unless you have em broken down every rotation I feel like my nittos are one directional.

they aren't the worst. Ford actually offered decent tires on my car. lol. Goodyear F1 Supercar tires - 255/40/19s on a 19x8.5 rim. Tires have 220 tread wear.

I know the new 15 5.0s on the PP they got a pretty good setup. They are staggered with 19x9 in the front and 19.9.5 in the back. I think the front is 255 and the back is 275. Ford is finally stepping it up.

What are they? Some say Left / Right and they need to be on the dirver side or passenger side respectively, and some say inside / outside, and that just denotes mounting on the rim, and they can be put at any corner.
