Quad exhaust project

So I'm going to do the quad exhaust. But the experiment part is. I have the roush axle back exhaust, I'm buying another set of tips and also the inlet splitter for two exhausts. I will weld in between my own roush tips and the ones I'm getting to put them together and then just welding them into the inlet.. Will that work? Also Would both 4" tips fit in the gt500 rear valence? Has anyone ever seen this. Sorry if I'm not too good at explaining what I'm trying to do.
