Really looking forward to that.
Feel free to reach out to AMWill - We've tried to do this a few times in the past and as long as Bama's landing right in the same neighborhood as their competitors we're all smiles.

I don't want to give out the specific number, but they're definitely doing a lot of Cyclone tunes today!

I'm currently running the 91R V2 and I don't feel any better throttle response down low or any better top end!?

I've never data logged any of my previous tunes as they ran good from the get go, Idk should i do a data log? Because at this point I'm probably going to go back to my trusted and true 91R (V1) lol : (

Hey Fast - I'm sorry to hear that you're not enjoying them thus far but I'd love to get a Tuning Specialist in touch with you to have the tunes logged. I'm a little shocked that you've never had it set up.

I've had custom tunes writing for my Mustang along with my Truck and some are great, some need fine tuning.

Drop me a line with your contact info and I'm happy to mediate this process for you.

You sure?

According to Bama's website, they're only available for GTs:

Quote:
The V2 tune, currently available for 2011-2014 V6, 2005-2015 GT's and 2015 Ecoboost are the latest version of our custom tunes and were released January 23, 2015. The V2 tunes feature improved power/torque, drive-ability, throttle response, gas mileage and much more. We listened to the feedback from our customers and developed two all new tunes

I've gone through all 4 pages of this thread, and can't seem to find any information about V2 tunes for 05-10 V6's. Hopefully it's not right in front of my eyes and I've missed it.

Regardless, you guys seem to be sure that they're available, so I'm gonna go ahead a request a pair of V2 tunes.

FF - Completely normal - If it was recently loaded which is was the fuel trims will still be learning and the slight variance will clear up over time but you're absolutely within the target zone. Again, a datalog would give Bama the best information possible in order to give a definitive answer but you're right on track.

Of course they did say turn around time is 5-7 business days (wasn't it less than that before? Maybe not, can't remember.) so it isn't like they are being slow or something. Just me being impatient, mostly.

Wondering if people with similar mods are getting their tunes quicker because they already have the files mostly set up from other people requesting them (no real clue how it works though, so dunno).
Shoot me a PM and I'll see what's going on for ya!

Just to clear this up a little Bama's running at 100% right now and they're writing their tunes as soon as the orders come in so they're not forcing out one type of tune over another!

Ah! That's where the snag was, sorry about the miscommunication her sir but they're available for the 3.7l 11-14 Motor at this time.

They're going to trickle down soon for the 05-10 V6's, 99-04 2V's and 4V's.

Sorry about that again but let me know if you have any other questions and I'm here to help.

Still testing out the GTB tune. Had to disable the spark plug delete feature as my car does not have 8 cylinders. Will load up the V2 tune later tonight and take it for a test run.

Loaded my Bama V2 tune last night. After trying out that and MPT, I will say.....

For the cozy Daily Driving, I would consider the Bama 93 Race V2 tune. For at the drag strip, I will be using the MPT 93 Race tune. I went for a few drives to let the car relearn. Then this morning, I took it for another drive. Hardly feels aggressive. Shifts are smooth. So smooth, you don't even feel it change gears. lol. And for the Auto, it does keep shifting until it hits 6th. Doesn't matter if you hit 2000 or 3000 RPM. Just doesn't give that "aggressive" feel.

With my MPT tune, the car would not move to the next gear until it has got past 2000 RPM. Then you would feel each shift.

Now I could probably data log, but I am not. Because in a couple of months I will be getting a Dyno tune so all of the back and forth will be a waste.

I will notate that the normal Bama 93 Race tune I had feels a lot similar, if not the same, to this new V2 tune.....

I will also notate that within the time I was told to check my email vs. the time I got the emails was soo quick, I would assume nothing was changed in the tunes. As that wasn't even enough time to eat a sandwich. LOL

Alex, what's going on bro? lol

For the drag strip, yes for now. Due to my respect for AM, I figured I would try out this V2 tune and give my honest opinion. For my daily driving and saving gas, I will run their tune. For performance and the "Idgaf" attitude for gas consumption, I would load MPT.

It's somewhat strange that Bama used to advertise their "normal Bama 93 Race tune" as, This file is designed for "Race Use Only". And now it sounds like you feel this is an everyday street tune.

Looks like there are 2 V2 Tunes.
Here' the gist of it...
OLDER BAMA TUNES

Street (87-93 octane) - designed as a daily driver program that focuses on increasing mid-range power.

Performance (87-93 octane) - designed to add power at 3000 RPMs and higher, focusing more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving.

Race (91 - 93 octane) - ensure the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory. This file is designed for "Race Use Only".

V2 TUNES
PERFORMANCE TUNE V2
Designed for the aggressive daily driver or weekend warrior. Bama's Performance tune provides more power than the stock tune along with increased throttle response and improved shift firmness.

RACE TUNE V2
Designed for Race use. Bama's Race tune delivers maximum horsepower and torque with aggressive transmission settings and a sensitive throttle response. 93 Octane or higher fuel is highly recommended.

Definitely NOT the case. The 93 V2 Race tune shifts smooth as butter. Nothing aggressive about it. The car doesn't pick up unless you floor it, then you feel the car start to pick up after 35-40 MPH. (Haven't looked at the RPM yet).

Compared to the MPT tune I was using, this one is very much an "every day driving tune" in my opinion.

And I did load the 93 Race V2 Tune. Not the 87 Performance one I have. I guess I can use the 87 tune for the trip to the AM show. Probably get GOOD gas mileage with that. LOL

Well, I received my new V2 tunes 2 days after requesting. Awesome turnaround, and it seems like they have begun writing tunes for 05-09 V6's (maybe they have been for a while?).

Gonna upload the new V2 93 Performance tune after work today and see how it compares with the 93 Street tune I've been using for a while now.

Hi everybody,
just uploaded the V2 tunes to my X4 and was wondering if I had to return my car back to stock first before installing the new tune?
Thank you

Thanks, Kona! Yeah, I have never returned back to stock before loading tunes and had no problems. Just came across some info where returning back to stock was recommended. Will install the 91V2 Race Tune now and have some fun

Generally, returning back to stock before uploading your new tune is recommended in case your tuner needs to be updated.

Also, for anyone that has tried the 93 Race V2 tune on their cars... Is your fan ALWAYS on now? Ever since uploading the new tune, my fan runs 24/7.

Whenever I load a tune, the tuner automatically saves the "stock tune" first. If you don't return to stock before loading a new tune won't the "stock tune" become your old tune?

No. It only does that when your actual stock tune is on the car. After that point, the device KNOWS it is currently storing your stock tune on it. Therefore, it won't think your old tune is the new 'stock tune' if you upload a tune without going back to stock first.

Just got back from a longer test drive with the 91V2 Race Tune. I was running the "old" 91Race Tune before. I have an automatic with 3.31 gears. Biggest difference to me is quite an improvement of throttle response. Also shifts are somehow smoother and under WOT my tires chirp with the shifts, which they did not do with the "old" tune. Overall very pleased so far, good job BAMA!
