Anyone tried Bama V2 Tunes?

I have 2012 Mustang Convertible (Automatic). I have been using MPT Ghost Cam Tune...which for the record is pretty awesome. But since I bought my tuner from American Muscle and received tunes for life; thought I'd switch back for a little bit. So, I am looking for thoughts input on the V2?
Or any other tune you can recommend.....open to all ideas and inputs.

"The V2 tune, currently available for 2011-2014 V6, 2005-2015 GT's and 2015 Ecoboost are the latest version of our custom tunes and were released January 23, 2015. The V2 tunes feature improved power/torque, drive-ability, throttle response, gas mileage and much more. We listened to the feedback from our customers and developed two all new tunes"

Anyone tried Bama V2 Tunes?

Yes! I just installed them today for my 3.7! I've been waiting all year for these. I installed the 87 tune because I had 87octane in the tank already. After about 50miles of driving I noticed a huge improvement. Noticed a decent change in power during low rpms. The 87 V2 tune felt the same as the old 93 race tune. I can't wait to fill her up with 93 and try the V2 race tune.

My understanding was the V2 tunes were and are NOT currently out for the 11-14 model years. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I haven't tried MPT but I'm running v2 tunes on my 2010 GT and they feel quite a bit better than the older tunes I had from Bama on my ole 05 GT

I can't speak for the GT's but MPT is huge with the 3.7 community and performance enthusiasts. I have both and love my MPT tune but also love my old Hybrid Bama tune. Bama has always been solid for me and great customer service.

MPT also has great customer service and both Bama and MPT are a must have. ☺

They've been out for the 5.0s for awhile now. It was the 3.7s that they've been working on like all year.

The file for my 3.7 from Bama has V2 in the name. Also, when you fill out the form, it has the V2 tunes as the only option. And their site says the V2 tunes are finally out for the 3.7. See my previous post..

I've been contacting Bama for months asking when the V2 tunes will be out. And they said early summer. I just requested a new tune yesterday and received today. There's a noticeable difference with these new V2 tunes compared to the old tunes.

But is it worth switching from MPT? That's the question we all need answered lol

I don't have MPT and I've never used them. I know they specialize in the 3.7. Though, I'm not going to pay $70 for an MPT tune when I get it for free through Bama. With no charge for a rewrite. It's not worth the couple extra ponies IMO

They've been in research and development for quite some time and I've personally had a hand in their tunes but here's a little kicker for you guys.

If you've order tunes, had datalogs, or a revision within the past couple months, I've got news for you and you're likely running their new tunes. If you're happy with your tunes and you're enjoying them I see absolutely no need to have a revision or log setup.

It's the inner car modder in all of us - We'll tune the car, drive it for a few weeks and then we internally think to ourselves "Why's it feel down? I don't remember throttle response like this" etc.

It's all in our heads! I just threw a 93 octane tune on my '14 EcoBoost and I'm going through the same thing right now.

If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to let me know and I'm here to help.

And Kevin - I knew

Just wanted to share this experience with Bama I just had. At 11:10 a.m. eastern time today's date I sent a request for the new V2 tunes that people are talking about. At 12:58 p.m. eastern time today's date, less than 2 hours later Bama sent me the tunes. Wow, How about that quick , prompt return. Yet another reason why to choose Bama tunes.

I had a similar situation as well. I went to load my tunes on my tuner (after receiving them in less than 12 hours), and ended up getting an error due to a corrupt file. I emailed Bama, and within 30minutes, Matt (the tuning specialist) resent the file and it loaded properly. I've never had such a quick response. Very satisfied!

Kona - I told them that my buddies from MustangEvolution would be out in full force today - They've told me that all they've been working on today have been 3.7l Tunes

I'm happy to hear that they were able to get you set up so fast!

I'm trying to request new tunes and it is saying "use a valid order number". I'm pretty confused because that is my correct order number.
