Roush front chin splitter

So don't beat me up too bad. First thread post Lol. I was looking to add the roush front chin splitter to my 12 v-6 but I've seen conflicting info as to if it will fit. A couple places said the front clip had to be the roush clip and some said it would bolt right up. If anyone would know I figured it would the ME guys on here. Is anyone sure of which way us true?

Can you provide a link for the item? I don't see one on AM for a Roush 10-12 chin splitter...

http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=C...-splitter.html. There is one of them. Also if you look on AM at the reviews for the 13-14 several people with 12 mustangs said they bolted right up so I'm confused if it does or doesn't.

Bear in mind mine is a GT. but I've been looking into one and it seems a Roush will not be a direct bolt on to mine. However this is and I think looks just as good. It my be a bolt on for you as well. http://www.cervinis.com/10-12mustang...ler-combo.html

I would suggest trying to google a pic of the bolt holes to the item and compare that side by side with the bolt holes of the stock one. As well as the shaping of the part that goes under the bumper cover. This should give you an idea.

Do you have that same fascia as in the link?

I shouldn't be here 😱, I've never tried to look at v6. From the looks of it I bet it is a direct bolt on for you.

I like that cervini alterego but my front clip is different from that. I dont have fog lights. Would that still work without them?

I actually just purchased a local Craigs List Roush bumper for my 2012 V6. Yes you need this bumper for the chin splitter to fit.

Mine I got for $100 but it does have damages similar to the silver one posted here. Except not as bad mainly scratches and clear coat damages. Still waiting for it to be properly painted and installed. Its been raining this week here.

The route I went was. I purchased the stillen style chin spoiler and then a Boss 302 street style splitter and bolted them together. I did need to drill new holes in the stillen chin. But with the shape of the chin, the splitter fit perfectly. Some holes wont line up. But if you have the first four in at the front of the chin. The rest will bolt in just fine. Here's an example of mine:
Edit: this is still the V6 bumper and grill surround, not GT bumper. Was able to retro the GT grill into it.

No problem OP.

I know ebay sells a Chin Spoiler for our V6's with the standard base bumpers. I believe they around $100-150. It almost looks like the Stillen one posted above. ^

Very nice AngryTech. Impressive work!

Stangingit, Looking at some google images, it looks like the 12' V6 factory splitter is quite different that the 13-14 splitter. With that said, take my words with a grain of salt. I put the Roush front splitter on my 14' V6 and love the look. It is NOT a direct bolt up on the 13-14s. It requires some cutting of the existing splitter to mount the Roush one too. The online videos are very scary but having done it myself; it looks 10x worse than it is. Easy work and great look. My two cents.

I agree with Hampton. I did the same on my wife's 14 and the cutting wasn't that bad at all. The finished product is worth the effort. Good luck..

Thank you!

Stanginit, so if you really want that chin spoiler, get it. Then take your time, measure 10x's and cut once. That's the best way to explain it. Anything can be done with a little time and patience.
Agreed with all of the fellas here, very satisfying when you get to stand back and look at your hard work.
