They are paying for every repair needed to undo their f*** up. They are paying the first car payment (As I bought it with a loan because I did not have a ton of money just laying around).

And they got me a rental at their expense. It is a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. They didn't have anything sporty at the rental place. Gonna let the wife drive it. I will stay with my 2014 stang.

I hope so too man. I told the guy who will by working on it (guy named Dusty at the dealership). I told him I have been through the ringer on this and just want it to be over.

I showed them EVERYTHING. There is overspray on pretty much all the car. Windows, louvers, panels they didn't touch, wheels, etc. Idk how they managed to pull that off. The 2nd shop I took it to said it would require them to claybar the entire car. Which is considered manual labor. That isn't even getting to the painting portion.

He said the shop will EASILY be billed AT LEAST $5,000.

So I went the body shop Guns a Blazin. In the end, they are sending it to my nearby dealership to get entirely repainted (my choice, not theirs), they are also making the 1st months payment on my car, and they gave me a rental (at their expense). Unfortunately it is a Hyundai Sonata

Lets just say....I told them I had legal help ready if they wanted to deny anything or say no to paying for it. They WILL NOT be touching the car again. I made it clear to them.

I will be dropping the car off tomorrow at the dealership. Where they will also take care of the popping in the front end.

Sad it had to go this far to begin with. Really saved my a** that I kept the Texts, Pictures, and made the video.

Lets just hope this settles it.

There u go. When ur too nice that's when they walk all over u

I WILL BE!!!! LMAO! It is an Auto with Manual mode. Fortunately, their manual mode isn't just a button. You get the move the shifter up and down. Like a weak version of manual. It has a leather boot on it too so it adds to the knock off manual mode. lol!

They make decent cars now. I had a hyundai accent rental, averaged like 37 mpg.

I whipped it a couple times in that there manual mode you speak of.

Geico will pay up and the shop will do it to their liking.

It has a backup camera. I don't think other spoilers accommodate them.

KEVIN, you might get a refund from loan company that financed the repairs with the car loan or the dealer who sent the car there.

I went back today to reconfirm with the rest of their staff that they are gonna do what they said yesterday. I went with someone from another body shop so I could have a witness.

In the end, I just want to drive my car again. I hope they make things right.

IT'S AN ADDICTION MAN!!!!

But seriously....it is. Some of it is just maintenance stuff. But you know I had to throw some stuff in there to make the car perform, sound, and look better

Had to do it all with just under $2,000. I got $70 set aside for an MPT Tune and that is about it. LOL!

I have a list of things I still want to get but that will be next year. I spend WAYYY too much money on car stuff this year. Where am I at between the 2 cyclone....over $10,000 now?

I got the SCT x3 at a good price. $200 unmarried. Then with a good MPT tune, my ending price is $270. Not bad! Brake kit was $223. Axlebacks (once replaced) were $350. And you know I put that 6% AM code to work this month. Hahahahaha!!!

I really wanted a decklid panel off AM but ran short on funds. It was like $130.

Yo AMAlex - How much does one have to spend in 1 year on AM's website before I get a freebie? Hook a brotha up!!!

Any updates on the remediation of that hatchet-job from the body shop's lead paint monkey?

It should be done and delivered to the local Ford place to check out that popping sound. Unfortunately work was too busy today for me to call. They said they will pay for the diagnosis and if the fix is $500 or less, they agreed to pay for the fix also.

I understand the extras they are doing are all good intentions to make up for the inconvenience. But they might want to look in to more experienced painters.

So far the extras they threw in is the rental car, paying first months car payment, and paying to get front end popping sound checked out.
